Sharks A got their season underway with a home fixture in Chichester.

Weston Supers took an early lead in Game 1, forcing a second half fightback from the Sharks. A pick six from Shorty followed by a safety from Craig brought the Sharks back into the game and they were able to push on to win 38-24.

The Sharks started well against the Coventry Cougars but had to resist a late fightback to claim the win, a comfortable-looking 34-18 with multiple TD catches from Corey and Shorty.

The final game of the day saw the Sharks face the reigning national champion Cardiff Hurricanes. The Sharks played well in the first half going in to the half just 4 scores to 2 down, with the ball back in the second half. Dropped catches in the endzone cost Chichester valuable points and the game ended with a lopsided 41-12 loss.

George Griffiths and Vin Berry made their first Bafa league appearances for the club, both scoring multiple times.

Our first team kick off the league season at home this Sunday at Sherbourne Road Park, Chichester, PO19 3AQ.

KO at 11am with games against Weston Supers, Coventry Cougars and Cardiff Hurricanes.

The B team are in Reading tomorrow with games against Solent Red Storm and Salisbury City Marauders.
