WE DID IT and then some.

Give a Gig has officially smashed the target. We set out to raise £15,000 and you have helped us reach £16,905 with 68 supporters.

Thank you to every single person who donated, shared, fundraised, nudged a friend, did a whip round at work, or asked a local business to get involved. We felt the support from start to finish.

A special thank you to Sport England for the match funding support which helped make this possible.

This new lightweight GRP training gig will make a huge difference. Less lugging the heavy plastics up and down the slip, more time on the water, more opportunities for juniors, beginners and social rowers, and a big step towards getting properly back out from Charlestown again as spring arrives.

From all of us at Charlestown Rowing Club, thank you. You have backed something brilliant for our community.

Our Crowdfunder remains live for donations to ensure we can afford all the extras which make rowing safe and enjoyable so if you haven't had the chance, there's still time to top up the pot.

This winter has been a juggle with competitive crews and recreational rowers working a schedule with a reduced fleet. A new lightweight training gig will transform how we can operate, getting more of you out on the water, more often.

Spring is round the corner and we are so ready to get back to proper rows from Charlestown again.

After years of disruption and repairs, we want crews launching from the harbour, training consistently and building back in our home.

We are thrilled to announce that our Crowdfunder has gone through £10k 🙌🏼

This is a HUGE step towards securing our new training gig, but we can't afford to rest just yet!

As well as the cost of our new gig, we need to purchase the additional rowing equipment such as pins and seats, as well as the safety kit we need to keep us safe on the water.
