Sadly, it wasn't to be for S1 as we took on a fast paced and physical EPR2 last night to keep our spot in Division 3. The scoreline blew out right from the start and we just couldn't gain any ground....
However, a new chapter awaits in D4 next season and regardless of the outcome, our gals should be so proud of how we've come together during such a tough season....
Congrats to our VC Caroline Steel who bagged the OPOM and to our Vvicki Sheed-Adams for PP....amazing effort gals πŸ’ͺ
Thanks for those who came to support as well last night...means alot despite not getting the result we wanted

Thank you to every single player who has stepped up and stepped out on to the court this season.... and massive thank you to our Captain Gayle Hickinson and VC Caroline... we appreciate you both so much for everything despite enduring your own personal circumstances ❀️

Onwards and upwards S1 πŸ™Œ

Biggest game of S1s season tonight.... the result of this one determines whether we keep our spot in division 3 or move down to 4th....
It's been a hell of a season with so many close games... we've had to call in so many to help through injury or unavailability of the squad of which we are so thankful.... been half an hour from forfeiting games but coming through at last minute πŸ’ͺ
We've got this gals... just need to show that grit and determination that we have shown throughtout this season and maintain our rightful place in D3
Supporters welcome πŸ™

What a way to end the regular season with an amazing win over Black Diamonds.... our girls too the lead right from the start to win the game 62-35 πŸ’ͺ

Full court attack turned to full court defence when needed and each player played their role and fought for every single ball... our shooters were on fire and any missed shots were rewarded with great rebounds.... defensively we were all over BD shooters making it hard for them to get ball in the shooting circle...

Shout out to Captain Gayle Hickinson for bagging the opposition POM who managed to put the BD shooters off with her deflections and intercepts and amazing lean over the shot πŸ’ͺ
PP was split between Amelie who played full game at C, linking defence and attack seamlessly (and probably still running now πŸ˜€) and to our Jill Allison, starting the game in at WA, feeding the shooters with accuracy and precision, finishing in WD (and can I just say, watching Shamira Sterling in the SSN paid off...nice wee block over their WA at the end πŸ˜‰)

Sadly, despite the win last night, we go again on 13th may to fight for our spot in Div 3... this season has really shown how we've come together and have played with different players practically each week due to illness/injury 😞
Massive shout out to everyone has helped us out this year, thank you 😊 Play offs, let's be having ye πŸ’ͺ

Last night, Sapphires 2 took on Harmony Row.

We were only just behind in the first two quarters, showing strong determination and teamwork. Going into the third quarter, Harmony Row found their rhythm and extended their lead, but we kept fighting with some great interceptions through the court and strong passages of play.

Although it wasn’t our night, it was a tough and hard-fought game. We worked tirelessly and kept pushing right to the end.

Well done to Mo who was voted POM by the opposition 🀩

Well done to Carol and Erin who were voted joint Players Player 🩷

Well done to S1 tonight on taking the win against a young Stewarton side... final score 42-36 πŸ‘Œ
Some lovely play as always through court, good defensive pressure and some lovely shooting, our girls took the 5 points
With her sharp shooting and twinkle toes in the circle, our Claire Forsyth bagged the opposition POM despite being bumped from pillar to post (excuse the pun πŸ˜‰) well done Claire... well deserved....πŸ‘
Well done also goes to the other half of the shooting duo, Gemma Chisholm.. shots on point and great rebounding earning her joint PP along with Louise Cullen playing in at WA.. precision feeding and non stop availability throughout the full 60 πŸ’ͺ
Well done all... great team effort πŸ‘πŸ‘

Good luck to both teams who are out playing tonight πŸ©·πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Flames vs Sapphires 2 πŸ”₯πŸ’Ž

Last night Sapphires 2 took on a strong Flames side. With traffic delays leaving us starting with only 6 on court, Flames took an early lead. But we came into the next quarters with fight and determination, pushing hard to close the gap. It wasn’t meant to be this time, and a stronger Flames team took the points β€” but we still walked away with half points, so well done girls! πŸ’™πŸ’ͺ

A huge thank you to our supporters last night.
Lots of cheers from Siobhan’s kids, Charlotte and Matthew, and from Carol’s mum, aunt, and daughter Grace.

πŸŽ‰ Happy birthday to Carol’s mum! Hope you had a wonderful night celebrating!

Great effort all round, Sapphires! πŸ’Žβœ¨

What a game and performance tonight for our S1 gals against second place St Mirren Netball
With 7 players only, no subs, and being an hour or so from nearly forfeiting, we pulled it out the bag and went down by only 7 goals...final score 47-40 to St mirren...
We never gave up and dug deep through each quarter... fab result gals πŸ’ͺ
Well done to WA Jill Allison for OPOM (who admits she'll barely be able to walk tomorrow πŸ™ˆ)
And PP went to our wee superstar Amelie who could run for days and not break a sweat....
Heads up gals... what a result πŸ‘
