An overdue update on Tweseldown from a couple of weeks back with both horses on 🔝 form!🐎

Skylite’s Cooley Star co-owned with Mr & Mrs Cronin producing a classy DC in her Novice section, she would have been provisional 4th if her Dad hadn’t messed up and cantered straight past a fence on XC 😩 She most definitely didn’t deserve that big E on her record but couldn’t be happier with her performance and she’s none the wiser!

Over the moon with JTH Wonder owned by the Continuity Syndicate putting in a mega effort with a sub 30 dressage followed by 2 great jumping rounds to finish in the top 10🏅

So proud of both these horses feeling very grown up and confident, they have been a pleasure to produce so far and I know we are just getting started 🤩

Job Opportunity - Head Groom at David Britnell Eventing🐎

📍 Location: Cambridgeshire – CB25📅 Start Date: June/July 2026💼 Position Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are a professional competition yard specialising in the backing and producing of young event and dressage horses all the way through the levels to 5*. We pride ourselves in running the yard to an extremely high standard, with all the horses receiving 5 star care, at our beautiful base in Cambridgeshire.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our professional, fun and supportive team. This is a key position within the yard, responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the yard, horse management and ensuring the highest standards are consistently maintained.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about the sport of dressage and eventing, who leads by example with a proactive, hands-on approach to yard management.

Key Responsibilities
* Day-to-day management of horse care, including feeding, grooming, and turnout
* Exercising horses - riding, lunging & longlining
* Preparing horses for training, competitions, and travel including trimming, plaiting & clipping
* Leading and supervising other members of the team
* Monitoring horse health and liaising with clients, vets, farriers, and physios
* Maintaining yard organisation, cleanliness, and efficiency
* Grooming at competitions (plaiting, tacking up, aftercare)

Requirements
* Proven experience working in a professional competition yard
* Confident handling young and fit competition horses
* Previous team leadership or supervisory experience
* Ability to work independently and take initiative
* High standards of turnout and horse welfare
* Full driving licence (HGV beneficial but not essential)
* Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Cirencester Park last weekend with JTH Wonder & Skylite’s Cooley Star🐎

JTH Wonder produced a beautiful test for 28 followed by a super clear SJ putting him in 3rd heading into XC in a hot intermediate section 🤩 He was on rails the whole way round until a total rider error at the final combination, he jumped in mega but I didn’t get him back quick enough for the final part, gutted for him but we came back round, popped it and he finished really well!
