πŸ† So incredibly proud of Lily F from Alpha Junior Squad with an impressive Canoe Slalom performance over the summer πŸ›Ά

She had an absolute flyer at the Llandysul Slalom in Wales! On Saturday, she took 1st place πŸ₯‡ in the Ladies K1, and followed it up on Sunday with a brilliant 3rd place πŸ₯‰ podium finish.

To pull off two massive results against tough competition on the River Teifi is just amazing. All the hard work and training is paying off.

I’ve spent the last two days racing at the European Masters in Bratislava and WOW… what an experience!

πŸ”₯ 100m Breaststroke
24th place with my best long‑course time since 2018 β€” and a huge 4 seconds faster than my entry. Very happy with that one!

β˜€οΈ 50m Backstroke (aka β€œThe Sunburn Sprint”)
Outdoor pool. Midday sun. Absolutely no shade.
I swam my fastest long‑course BK EVER… but missed the minimum standard by just 0.7 seconds, so officially No Time recorded.
Conclusion: I am never doing outdoor backstroke again. Ever.

πŸ’ͺ 50m Breaststroke
Smashed my entry time by 2 seconds, moved from 35th seed to 26th place β€” buzzing!

πŸš€ 50m Freestyle
Another PB: 0.5 faster than my entry, jumping from 54th seed to 36th place.

And yes… I’ve attached the photo because they had special lanes for the over‑60s πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Honestly, it was brilliant.

Feeling proud, sun‑toasted, and very motivated for what’s next.
