Great advice. What they donā€™t mention is why - when you accidentally fall or jump suddenly into cold water it causes you to gasp involuntarily, hyperventilate and your heart and blood pressure spike which can cause cardiac arrest. If you gasp underwater you take in water and can drown. Floating enables you to calm your breathing then you can either quickly swim to safety or find something that floats and or call for help.

Great to see Bluebird K3 out today going at a decent speed. Bluebird K7 made a slow run earlier this morning then went back for some engine tweaks. They are trying her again shortly.

Great to see the Bluebird on Coniston water today and the huge crowd turned out to see it. It was brilliantly sunny and pretty calm out on the lake!

It was a little time getting out on the water and unfortunately didnā€™t get to do its speed run today due to technical issues however, itā€™ll be around all week and aiming to run if conditions are right.
