Just two weeks to go until the James Braid Open on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June, and we have just a few remaining spaces left on the tee sheet. ⏳🏌️‍♂️

If you have been thinking about making the trip up to the Highlands for a proper weekend of competitive golf, now is the time to lock in your slot.

As a reminder, this 2-day event is open to both men and women, with entry at £45 per round. It consists of two 18-hole strokeplay rounds, making up an overall 36-hole total, but you can easily choose the option that fits your schedule:

👉 The full 36 holes to compete for the overall championship trophies.
👉 A single 18-hole round on either Saturday or Sunday, with individual daily prizes up for grabs.

Lots going on this weekend, hopefully you can join us.

On Saturday evening we have a Scottish Ceilidh Dance with music from the Strathair Dance Band, in aid of Brora Kids Club. £5 entry per family.

This is followed by the Brazil vs Morocco game from 23:00 and then the big one, Scotland vs Haiti from 02:00.
Our bar will be open until 30 minutes after the Scotland game finishes.

To celebrate some of the games on at the weekend we've also got some delicious specials running from Friday to Sunday-

• Haitian pork Griot: Crispy slow cooked pork marinated with chilli citrus and fresh herbs, served with pikliz (spicy pickled cabbage) and diri kole ak pwa (fried rice and beans)
• Seafood Chowder: Rich and creamy soup of seafood, bacon and potatoes. Served with crusty bread (USA)

To wash it down why not try some of our World Cup Scottish cocktails

• Made from Girders - High ball filled with ice, Famous Grouse whisky shot and topped up with Irn Bru
• Lions Roar - Tennents lager and North Point rum
• Rock and Thistle - Chambord liqueur on the bottom of the glass, ice, bitter lemon and Rock Rose Gin

No two rounds at Brora are ever exactly the same, even if you play them on the very same day.

The beauty of a true coastal links is how quickly the atmosphere changes. One hour you are playing under a bright blue Highland sky, and the next, shifting coastal clouds roll across the firth, completely altering the view and the shadows across the fairways. It keeps the course feeling fresh, dramatic, and endlessly interesting to walk.

Fantastic weather on the links today for our 55 and over Men's Senior Open.
We hope you enjoyed our course and hospitality.

Congratulations to all our winners and a special mention to our Club Captain, Graeme Greenhill, on getting a hole in one at our 6th hole.

Hopefully we will see you with us again at one of upcoming Opens.

All our Opens are special but one to try and support is our newly re-kindled Gala Week Open on Wednesday the 22nd of July. All the proceeds go back into the Gala Fund to help support future events.
