Tipton Hall Riding School offers qualified horse riding tuition to children and adults either individually or in small groups, in our indoor arena. We have amazing countryside based in the heart of Herefordshire to hack through so unlike many other riding establishments you won’t get bored going around in circles in an arena. We like to make sure each client has a happy experience riding in a rela

xed environment, so that learning is fun and progress is made. We do our best to match your ability to the pony and the group of riders that you are with, so that you progress to the next level but are also safe. Please always remember that horse riding is a risk sport, you may fall off and you may get hurt. During the school holidays we run the following courses:
•Pony care mornings
•Long rides
•Picnic rides
•Pony Club days and Camps
•Show jumping and Dressage training

We also can arrange birthday parties. If you are looking for an authentic countryside horse riding experience in Herefordshire or Worcestershire, contact us today

N.B Due to the fact that most of our clients are children we have limited large horses, hence a maximum weight limit of 13 stone/85kg applies.

Back to school and back to riding on Sundays.

Our “Just off lead-rein/ Novice” group on Sundays has now been extended to 45 minutes, which means that riders have more time to practice their new found equestrian skills!

Thanks for making such a busy but fun summer, it’s been a ball!

We hope that many happy memories have been made, we certainly have loads.

Good luck everyone going back to school, don’t forget to work hard so that you can play hard with the ponies at the weekends.

📢 A Quick Update on Lesson Prices at Tipton Hall Riding School

We wanted to be upfront with you all about a small change coming our way. From 1st September 2026, our riding lesson prices will be going up slightly.

This summer’s heatwave has pushed our costs up more than usual — hay and feed prices have risen, and with the hot, dry weather our water bill for keeping the horses happy and hydrated has increased significantly too. Like a lot of small farms and equestrian centres right now, we’re feeling the pinch of rising costs across the board.

Even with this increase, we truly believe Tipton Hall continues to offer fantastic value — brilliant BHS-qualified coaches, well-cared-for horses and ponies, and a relaxed, friendly place to learn to ride, whatever your age or experience.

Good news if you book ahead: if you book and pay for your September lessons via our online booking system before the 1st, you’ll still get them at our current prices! 🐴

After the rain and thunderstorm, the afternoon ride was glorious.

Today someone said to me, that when they started riding with us, she wondered what her goal was. She said that very quickly she came to believe that she didn’t need a goal, all she needed to do was to enjoy herself.

Life doesn’t have to be about setting a goal, enjoy yourself and you will make great progress naturally.

The only challenge you need to set is have fun, enjoy life, get outdoors and back to nature on horseback.

We’re here to help, in this glorious landscape, we call home as well as our office!

A pony camp can bring so much joy, a connection of rider and pony, as well as having fun with your friends.

We’ve just finished a 3 day camp and boy it’s been a hot one!
But we kept ponies and riders cool and hydrated.

They were best buddies when they were weaned and now they are big brave 4 year olds, learn the ropes of being a ridden horse.

During the rest of August there will be no riding on Sundays to give the ponies an extra days rest with the busy holiday period.

There are still spaces available tomorrow in our Saturday 10.30 novice group and the beginner group at 11.45.
Also a private slot is available at 12.45.

There are extra groups in the week to cater for the Sunday riders.
