❤️ Bromyard Round the Downs 2026

We are so pleased to announce that this year’s event raised an amazing profit of £2,358.80! 🎉

We will be sharing the money between some brilliant local causes:

🌳 Bromyard Downs Common Association who volunteer their time to care for our beautiful Downs and kindly mow the track for our runners each year.

🏫 St Peter’s Primary School, who made our junior and fun run medals this year.

🐑 We Are Farming Minds, supporting mental wellbeing within our farming community.

🏉 We have also decided to make a donation towards the U12 Rugby Tournament trip, as a thank you to Bromyard Rugby Club for allowing us to host the event at the club.

We couldn’t let this week pass without saying a huge thank you to the incredible people who make this event possible year after year ❤️

Firstly, to Bromyard Rugby Club. Thank you for allowing us to host our event at your venue, and for giving us access not just on the day, but for weeks before and after too. Your support behind the scenes makes such a difference.

To our amazing landowners:
✨ Les Morgan – thank you for getting your cattle in and preparing such a lovely track for us.
✨ Lou Crowther – for moving all your livestock, allowing us to keep gates open, and letting us run through your mowing grass 🙈
✨ The Hawkins family – for strimming paths, taking gates down, and welcoming us through your farm.
✨ Bromyard Downs – thank you Graham and Neil, as always, for allowing runners across the downs and mowing a brilliant track.

Race Results Are In! 🏅

A huge congratulations to all of our winners and to everyone who took part in this year’s event. Whether you were chasing a personal best, running your first race, or simply enjoying the day, you all helped make it a fantastic occasion.

A special well done to everyone who took part in our 2K Junior Run and the Fun Run. It was fantastic to see so many young runners and families getting involved and enjoying the event.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to Ready Set Go Timing for their incredible support with the event. Their expertise in managing the chip timing made everything run smoothly, and they were so helpful throughout the day, putting us at ease from start to finish. We couldn’t have done it without you.

A big thank you as well to Alexander Park for generously donating three months’ free membership to our local male and female winners. Your support of our event and the local running community is greatly appreciated.

Finally, congratulations once again to all of our winners and every single participant. Thank you for making this year’s event such a memorable one—we can’t wait to do it all again next year! 🎉🏃

📣 Volunteers Needed for Bromyard Round the Downs Race

We’re looking for one (or two) more volunteer to help us this Sunday, 28th June at the Bromyard Round the Downs race.

You’ll be stationed along the route to:
- Guide runners
- Cheer them on
- Shout for help if a runner is injured
- Help keep the event running smoothly

It’s a great way to get involved in the local community and support a fantastic event!

Whether you’re taking on the scenic 10K, cheering on the Junior 2K runners, or joining in the Fun Run, it’s set to be a fantastic day packed with community spirit, stunning countryside views, and plenty of smiles. The event takes place on Sunday 28 June at Bromyard Rugby Club.

With just under three weeks to go, preparations are well underway for Round the Downs 2026. This evening, we met with Graham and Neil from the Bromyard Downs Common Association to discuss course preparations across the beautiful Bromyard Downs. We’re incredibly grateful for their continued support of this event year after year.

It was fascinating to hear some of the history of the Downs. If you’d like to learn more, take a look at the Association’s website or visit the Bromyard History Society for a wealth of information.

Did you know that wild orchids can be found growing on the Downs? Or that hundreds of trees have self-seeded over the years, helping to create the stunning landscape we enjoy today? And on a clear day, you can even spot Hay Bluff in the distance.

We can’t wait to welcome you back to this special place in just a few weeks’ time.
