Welcome back, Joe Tarrant!

We’re delighted to welcome Joe back to Bournemouth Rugby ahead of the new season.

Having helped the Lions achieve promotion to Level 4 before progressing to play Championship rugby with Richmond Rugby club, Joe returns bringing a wealth of experience, quality and leadership to the squad.

Director of Rugby Will Croker said:

“Joe joining us for this season is a real coup. Having helped get us to Level 4 last time round and having played for Richmond in the Championship, he brings incredible experience, talent and enthusiasm. He will be a real role model for a young squad to look up to. His flexibility at playing both sides of the scrum means he can impact in a variety of ways.”

Last night was the Dorset & Wilts ( D&W RFU ) Rugby Volunteer of the Year Awards at The Udder Farm Shop in Gillingham, where nominees from rugby clubs across Dorset and Wiltshire were treated to a lovely evening of food and celebrations, recognising the incredible contribution of volunteers to grassroots rugby and community sport.

Jo Burns, Greg Reid, Sian Reid and Jacob Packer were nominated in the ‘Unsung Hero’ category, receiving recognition for the countless hours they give to Bournemouth Rugby and the wider rugby community.

Jo and Greg also collected the First XV League Winners award on behalf of the club, celebrating a memorable season for Bournemouth Rugby in the Dorset & Wilts rugby competition.

🗣️ At Bournemouth Rugby, we know just how much Jo, Greg, Sian and Jacob put into the club. The hours they give behind the scenes often go unseen, but they play a huge part in keeping the club moving forward week after week.

🏉 What a day for Bournemouth Youth Touch! 🟡⚫

Our U14s produced an outstanding performance at the Junior Touch Cup South in London, reaching the final in their very first tournament together. With many players new to touch rugby and competing against older opposition, the team won every group game before narrowly missing out in a thrilling final.

A fantastic achievement and a real reflection of the hard work, commitment and development shown throughout the season. 👏

They're the driving force ensuring our youth teams have everything they need to thrive, from resources to support and beyond. Day in, day out, they pour their hearts into planning, organising, and running the youth and mini section, making sure our club functions like a well-oiled machine.
