📸 THROWBACK FRIDAY - FAIR CUP PHOTO DROP!

Still riding the buzz from last Friday because… WOW. What. A. Day.

The energy was unreal, the rugby was electric, and every single school turned up ready to play their hearts out. The photos say it all, big tackles, big smiles, big celebrations. Bo’ness at its absolute best.

These snaps capture everything we love about this event, passion, teamwork, community spirit and a whole lot of joy.

It’s Volunteers’ Week and we want to celebrate the incredible people who make Bo’ness Rugby what it is.

Every photo we take, every session we run, every young person who pulls on a BRFC top… there’s a volunteer behind it.

Coaches, committee, parents, helpers, drivers, kit‑washers, pitch‑setters, fundraisers, photographers, tea‑makers, and the quiet heroes who never look for thanks, you are the heartbeat of this club.

We’re a small club with big ambition, and none of it happens without the people who give their time, energy and passion to create a place where players of all ages can learn, grow and belong.

From early‑morning minis to senior rugby, from social touch to community events, from safeguarding courses to match days, our volunteers show up, step up and lift up everyone around them.

From the young players who see the impact volunteers make and want to give back, to the people we never see working away in the background… Bo’ness Rugby is built on people who care.

Thank you for everything you do. We appreciate you more than you know.

✨ CONGRATULATIONS BO’NESS PUBLIC SCHOOL – 2026 RUGBY FAIR CUP CHAMPIONS!

What an amazing afternoon of rugby at this year’s P7 Fair Cup. Every school brought incredible energy, teamwork and talent, we were genuinely blown away by the standard of rugby on display. The future of the sport in Bo’ness is in very good hands.

A massive well done to Bo’ness Public School, who lifted this year’s trophy after a brilliant run of performances.

A few very important thank-yous:

👑 Queen Sophie for joining us and presenting the winners’ trophy and all the medals. The pupils absolutely loved it.

👏 Frank McGarry for attending on behalf of the Fair Committee and supporting Sophie throughout the presentation.

💧 Tesco Bo’ness – for kindly supplying free water for all players. A small gesture that made a big difference on a warm afternoon.

🩷Huge thanks to all schools, teachers, families and supporters who make this event so special every year.

🙌 The biggest thank you to our Club volunteers, coaches, and Colts players we could not run events like this without you!

We can’t wait to do it all again next year 🦏💙💛

It was our last Baby Rhinos session of Block 2 this morning and what an amazing way to finish! The kids were full of energy, laughter and mischief, and we had a brilliant time working on those throwing skills… even if that meant throwing balls directly at Adam.

The big people didn’t escape either,
thank you for being such good sports and joining in the mayhem!

A huge thank‑you to all our Baby Rhinos. Every single one of you who has come along, joined in, tried something new, or just had a good giggle, you are all amazing.

We’re taking a little break now, but we’ll be running a few sessions over the summer… so keep an eye out. Exciting things to come! 💙💛

22/05/2026

Some of our volunteers attended the SRU Community Game Conference today and had a fantastic time. It was a brilliant opportunity to catch up with friends from other clubs, make new contacts, and share ideas about growing the game in our communities.

Highlights of the day were hearing from really amazing speakers, including Paralympian Scott Meenagh, whose story and message were genuinely inspiring, the kind of talk that stays with you long after you’ve left the room.

Our volunteers also took part in a range of workshops designed to help clubs develop, strengthen pathways, and build new skills that we’ll be bringing back to Bo’ness.

And of course, no Rhinos trip would be complete without a bit of comedy… including the now‑legendary challenge of trying to fit four Rhinos into an Audi TT.
(For the record: three of them are over 6ft. The car is absolutely not.)

A brilliant day of learning, connecting, and representing our wee club with pride. 💙💛
