⚽️🏉 The Men Tried Football… and somehow scored a Hat‑Trick! 😅

Well… last night was the night Bo’ness Rugby Club Senior Men officially tried out the round ball stuff.

Blue vs White and the chaos did not disappoint.

Not the greatest football ever played (and that’s being generous), but a laugh from start to finish.

Air‑shots, dodgy tackles, questionable fitness levels… and unbelievably, someone only went and scored a hat‑trick.

We’re still deciding if it was pure talent, blind luck, or a defensive disaster for the ages.

Either way, outstanding effort from everyone who took part.

The chat was good, the laughs were better, and the football… well, it happened.

Same time next week? Or should we all agree to stick to rugby.

🎉YOUTH AWARDS 2026 — WHAT A DAY! 🎉

What an unforgettable morning we had on Sunday! Our end-of-season Fun Day & Youth Awards Ceremony was an absolute belter, glorious sunshine, beaming smiles, parents joining in the fun, and a pitch full of energy from start to finish.

Before we announce the winners, we want to say this loud and clear:

💙 💛Every single one of our young Rhinos has been outstanding this season.

From P1 all the way through to Colts, the effort, energy, teamwork, confidence, and friendships you’ve built have been incredible to watch. You’ve made us proud every single week.

🌞 Last week before the summer break… but still plenty of chances for a run‑about!

We’re slowing down as we head into the break, but there are still a couple of great sessions to get stuck into before we all recharge for a few weeks.

TUESDAY 16/06
🏉 Women’s & S1–S6 Girls Touch — 6–7pm

🏉 Colts (S1–S6) — 6–7pm

🏉Purple Rhinos — 7–8pm

⚽ Men’s Team… playing football?! —6.30pm @ Newtown Park

With the World Cup on, the lads are clearly feeling inspired though whether they’re channelling Scott McTominay or just leathering it so far off target it ends up somewhere between the Coop car park and Kinneil Woods is another matter entirely!

THURSDAY 19/06
🏉 Social Touch — 6.30–7.30pm
A perfect, easy run‑about before we all take a well‑earned breather.

We might be winding down, but the Rhinos spirit definitely isn’t. Come along, get moving, have a laugh, and enjoy the last sessions before the summer break.

A massive shoutout to our brilliant young volunteers at Bo’ness Rugby Club 👏💙💛

Everyone knows how incredibly proud we are of our Ruiraidh, his volunteering recognised at national SRU level, a fantastic and well-deserved achievement 👏🏉

But we are also hugely grateful to our other fantastic young volunteers, especially O & C, who give up their time on Mondays to run the after-school rugby club at Bo’ness Public School. Your dedication, energy and passion for the game are making a real impact and you’re wonderful role models for the next generation 🙌

Special mention too for O, who has just completed his SRU refereeing training, a brilliant step forward and a great way to support the game 👏

We’re so lucky at Bo’ness to have such a strong club culture, with our values being passed down through the generations. Volunteers like this are the heart of what makes our club special, and it’s clear the future of Bo’ness Rugby Club is in very safe hands 💪

🏉 💙A BIG WEEK AT BO’NESS RUGBY! 💛🏉

This Sunday is a special one, it’s our final Youth Sunday session for a few weeks, and we’re going out with a bang!

We’ll have every age group together, from our tiniest P1s right up to our oldest Colts, all taking part in a big end‑of‑season run‑around packed with fun, games and plenty of laughs. And parents… you’re not off the hook you’re welcome to join in too! Let’s see those sideline skills put to the test.

Still riding the buzz from last Friday because… WOW. What. A. Day.

The energy was unreal, the rugby was electric, and every single school turned up ready to play their hearts out. The photos say it all, big tackles, big smiles, big celebrations. Bo’ness at its absolute best.

🏆 Massive shoutout again to Bo’ness Public School, our 2026 Fair Cup Champions! A brilliant run of performances and a well‑deserved lift of the trophy.

All ages and abilities welcome. Bring a mate, your boots, and just turn up. No pressure, just good fun.

It’s Volunteers’ Week and we want to celebrate the incredible people who make Bo’ness Rugby what it is.

Every photo we take, every session we run, every young person who pulls on a BRFC top… there’s a volunteer behind it.

Coaches, committee, parents, helpers, drivers, kit‑washers, pitch‑setters, fundraisers, photographers, tea‑makers, and the quiet heroes who never look for thanks, you are the heartbeat of this club.

We’re a small club with big ambition, and none of it happens without the people who give their time, energy and passion to create a place where players of all ages can learn, grow and belong.

From early‑morning minis to senior rugby, from social touch to community events, from safeguarding courses to match days, our volunteers show up, step up and lift up everyone around them.

From the young players who see the impact volunteers make and want to give back, to the people we never see working away in the background… Bo’ness Rugby is built on people who care.
