Evening all,

It is with sadness and regret that we are having to call time on our wee club. Unfortunately last Thursday was our last training session. We no longer have use of the combat zone, which we were hopeful we could continue to use until the centres closure. However we have been told we can no longer use it, although given an alternative to use the squash court, it just wouldn’t have been sufficient enough room for our classes.

We would just like to thank all the kids, juniors and adults over the years who have trained with us. Without you all our club wouldn’t have existed and we owe a lot of thanks to every one of you. We have met some incredible people over the years and had some great times, with some people going on to train for fights, to participating in inter clubs with other gyms and some great nights sparring in the “sweat box”. Lots of great memories and it’s been an absolute pleasure training you all. We done it because we love the sport and we wanted to give people a chance to experience martial arts in a fun safe environment.

While this is the end of an era, we will keep trying to see if anything comes up that is suitable. We will take a few weeks rest to gather our thoughts and see what we can come up with so keep an eye out for any announcements in the coming weeks/months.

Once again thanks so much to everyone who came to train with us. You were all brilliant and we wish you all the best if you decide to keep going and join another club. Hopefully we will see you all again soon.

We have been asked to submit a picture for the local newspaper regarding everything that is going on with the closure of the centre. The photo here will be used.
However, if any parent objects to there child being in the picture going to the local press can you please let us know.

Halt the immediate planned closure of Bo’ness Recreation Centre on 3rd May 2024

Hi all,

Looks like the final date for the closure of the recreation centre has been decided. Our final class will be on May 2nd unless anything changes.
If we find other premises we will keep you all informed. Sad times for the whole of Bo’ness!
