🎾 INVESTING IN OUR COACHES = MORE FOR OUR PLAYERS! 💚

Yesterday, some of our Microsports coaching team headed to Telford Tennis Centre for an LTA Coaching session with Rob Smith! 🙌

A great day packed with fresh ideas, practical advice and plenty of things that got us thinking about how we can continue to develop our coaching. 🧠🎾

The learning doesn’t stop when you become a coach! We’re always looking for new ways to make our sessions better, more engaging and help every player get the most out of their time on court.

Now comes the exciting part… putting those ideas into action across our group sessions and 1:1 lessons! 👀🎾

A fantastic morning at the Active Birmingham Learning Exchange! 🎾🏙️

MicroSports were delighted to be a part of today’s Active Birmingham Learning Exchange at Cannon Hill Park, bringing together organisations and partners from across the city to reflect, share experiences and, most importantly, learn from one another.

There were some brilliant conversations throughout the morning around community capacity, collaboration, ways of working and creating sustainable change. One message particularly resonated with us: lasting impact isn’t simply about numbers, outputs or delivering individual projects — it’s about people, trusted relationships and genuinely understanding the communities we work with.

It was inspiring to hear so many organisations openly share their experiences, challenges and learning, and to see how much has been achieved through Active Birmingham over the past four years.

We’re incredibly proud that MicroSports has been able to play a part in this journey, using tennis and physical activity to create accessible opportunities for people across Birmingham’s communities.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising today and to all the organisations who contributed. Plenty for us to take away, reflect on and build into our own work.

🎾 What a fantastic Open Day at Bournville Park! 🌳

What a lovely setting for a brilliant afternoon of tennis! It was wonderful to see so many people from the local community come along, pick up a racket and join us on court, especially the children, some of whom were holding a tennis racket for the very first time. 💚

This is exactly what Park Tennis is all about: bringing people together, being active outdoors, enjoying the beautiful green spaces on our doorstep and, most importantly, simply having fun hitting a ball! 🎾

A huge thank you to the for their continued support, and to the LTA - Tennis For Britain and Birmingham City Council for helping us bring tennis to local parks and communities.

🎾🏆 WHAT A WEEKEND AT BOLDMERE TENNIS CLUB! 🏆🎾

A fantastic weekend for our Microsports junior players, with some brilliant results to celebrate! 💚

🏆 Huge congratulations to Sam, who won the Men’s Singles title!

🏆 Another huge well done to Jamie & Axel, who teamed up to win the Men’s Doubles title!

👏 And a big well done to Adam, who had a fantastic run in the Mixed Doubles, narrowly missing out in a very close championship tiebreak!

Amazing achievements from all four players and brilliant to see our juniors competing in senior events, enjoying their tennis and producing some great results! 🎾

Well done Sam, Jamie, Axel & Adam — what a weekend! 💚🏆
