⛳ A quick reminder: tee renovations begin at Boldmere on Monday.

This important work will bring our tees back to life and ensure they’re in even better condition for the 2027 season. Although the work is long overdue, it will make playing at Boldmere an even better experience.

Important Notice for all Golfers

Grass Tees Closed for Renovations from Monday 7 September

Please be advised that our grass tees will close on Monday 7th September and will remain closed until next spring for essential renovation works.

This work is necessary to fully restore and improve the condition of the tees for the 2027 season, as their performance has been below standard this year. (See images)

From Monday 7th September all play will commence from the blue tees. This is a measured course so general play scores can be submitted and competitions still played.

Please refrain from walking on the closed tees at any time from 7th September onwards. This will give the new grass the best chance to germinate and establish successfully.

We apologise for the short notice and any inconvenience caused, and thank you for your understanding. These improvements are being made to ensure a significantly better playing experience for everyone.

Keeping our greens healthy and playing at their best takes a carefully planned maintenance programme.

The first step is scarifying, which removes excess thatch and organic material from the surface.

Next comes hollow coring or solid tining, helping to relieve compaction, improve drainage and encourage stronger root growth.

We then apply sand dressing to smooth the surface, aid drainage and support healthy turf.
Finally, we overseed the greens to introduce new grass seed and maintain a dense, resilient putting surface.

These essential steps may cause some short-term disruption, but they are vital for producing healthier, smoother greens in the months ahead.

Please note that essential greens maintenance has been carried out today, including hollow coring, top dressing and overseeding.

While this may temporarily affect putting surfaces, the work is vital to maintaining the long-term health and quality of our greens.

We expect the greens to return to normal in approximately 10 days, subject to favourable weather conditions.

A fantastic result to cap off another brilliant Pro-Am at Boldmere.

Massive thanks to Maureen for keeping the scoring on point, and to Ros for stepping up as our independent hole-in-one witness! 🎯

And of course, none of this would be possible without the incredible support of the Boldmere committee members and our Mytime staff, who worked so hard behind the scenes to make it a truly special day for everyone involved.

Also, a big well done to the club for also raising £600 for the Cancer Support Centre in Sutton Coldfield!
