More exciting news for Sweetlands Farm! 🌟

We’re delighted to have become an approved AQA Unit Award Scheme Centre and are excited about the opportunities this will create for children to learn through horses, farm animals and the countryside.

Learners who complete units receive an official AQA certificate - a nationally recognised award that celebrates what they've achieved.

We’ll be sharing more information and details how to book our new Animal & Farm Learning programme over the coming weeks, including summer holiday sessions and plans for September 2026 term 🌿

Riding schools are the grassroots route into the equestrian industry for so many children — giving opportunities to ride, learn responsibility, build confidence and simply spend time around horses they may otherwise never have access to.

With over 200 riding schools reported to have closed since Covid, the pressures on the industry are very real. Rising costs, insurance, licensing, welfare standards and day-to-day running all continue to increase behind the scenes.

We’re incredibly proud to still be here as a family-run 5★ licensed riding school, continuing to grow and evolve for the next generation. Some very exciting news coming soon.

Not every child finds confidence in a classroom or busy environment.
Sometimes it’s outside, beside an animal, where things begin to change.

Animals don’t judge, rush or expect explanations.
They respond to patience, consistency and trust — and for many children that can feel incredibly powerful.

The newest Sweetlands residents have arrived…!

Today we welcomed three beautiful Zwartbles lambs to the farm and they’ve already been exploring the fields, meeting the horses and settling in brilliantly.

The boys were very curious over the fence and the goats are still deciding what they think about their new neighbours 🤣

We’re so excited for children to meet them as part of our growing animal learning experiences here at Sweetlands Farm (more info coming soon!)
