1st show, 1st ever time behind white boards first ever time over decent sized fences! MC Sport Horses

Sparr Bucephalus’ first ever show… first ever time of seeing white boards… first ever jumping… look how cool he is! Just like his dad! This attitude to work is why I love this horse so much, just completely unphased. Cyril Gavrilovic and MC Sport Horses have done an incredible job …. He may never be an eventer but he is happy in his work….. in the city of the horse no less….

Nearing my return to the uk with the boys I’d just like to remind you all that I offer NATURAL covering with my GRADED stallion Zilver Center Forward.

Trained advanced Dressage and more than capable of competing/jumping a decent track, this stallion has not only the most trainable brain but the kindest nature.

He has mares booked for this season but I have space for more at my new facility in Somerset.

💯 pregnancy and live foal to date

Specialising in older bloodlines which are so difficult to come by now…. SFS

Quick flash back to May 2023, my stallion Zilver Centre Forward showing us that he wasn’t just a super showjumping stallion but could turn his hand to a bit of dressage too!

My new stud in the uk will be up and running imminently with some of the boys available for natural covering.

How very sad to read this.

How very sad to read this.

Sleep well Blueberry and Uti, two of the greatest horses of our generation.

It is with immense sadness that we have said goodbye to Valegro and Uthopia and without question, this is a loss that just feels hard to comprehend.

Trying to write a tribute to these two horses feels harder than I imagined. The yard just doesn’t feel the same without them, there’s an emptiness in the air.

Valegro and Uthopia did more than win medals and write history, they gave our sport a golden era. They both showed that greatness can be gentle, sensitive and harmonious and they made a nation proud and inspired so many.

Being part of their journey will always remain one of my proudest achievements and the whole team and myself are deeply grateful for the joy they gave to us at home but also to their fans around the world.

Their entire lives ran in parallel; they travelled to the shows side by side, lived in neighbouring stables, grazed in the same fields and retired together. Their bond and companionship were absolute.

As life as old boys advanced, so too did the health challenges, so allowing them to leave this world together was the final act of loyalty and dignity I felt I could give them, honouring a partnership that had never been separated in life.

They leave behind a huge void, and the yard has changed forever and so have we. They were our family and I will love and miss them always. The impact they had will remain but sadly, we don’t get to keep horses forever.
We only get to carry what they leave inside us. And these two left us so much.

This week has been incredibly busy, new horses arriving, loads of training on both boys and a finish this evening again with a wonderful training session on Sparr Fleetwood with his flatwork coming on in leaps and bounds (even a compliment from chief trainer Gould).

All my boys have been so very different to school, but I just LOVE the learning. Now my children have grown I only have myself to to look after I can actually spend serious quality time with my horses. Reconnecting, learning and improving.

A Late supper for Mac and myself after an incredible week….. the beginning of my next chapter 🥰

A very busy day at Sparr HQ today, an early start again Sparr Fleetwood making some good shapes over the fences he left up but showing signs of taking over which was a complete u turn on last weeks debut but took as many fences down as he left standing 🫣
It’s time for me to get on him I think and push on with his flat work so that Mya can hold him with her seat in the ring.

Todays positives were that he was FAR more calm in the arena and only had 1 fence down in the first round, he started to relax in the warm up and actually walk and stretch which was a no go last week, and he cantered to most of the fences today showing a lot more confidence but also taking over from the pilot!

Then back home by 9.30am to walk dogs and straight out on a wonderful hack around the bridleways of kirdford with Molly on Stan before lunch, beating that north wind before it really kicks in for a cold week ahead.
