We are now in a position to issue an injury update on Stene, following his crash at Plymouth on Saturday.
We drove home from Plymouth and spent the day in A&E on Sunday. After X-rays and full examinations it was found that Stene had a displaced Acromioclavicular joint. Otherwise known as torn ligaments in his shoulder where the collar bone is held in place from the shoulder. It would be a 3/4 week recovery period depending on health and physio response, but as itβs the end of season we will not attempt any rush, and with lots of rest let him fully recover. It wasn't quite the way we would have wanted the British Youth Champion to finish his season but after such an awful crash being hit from behind, we are thankful as it could have been a lot worse. His equipment has taken a bit of battering and it wonβt be a cheap repair bill but as long as heβs relatively ok - then we are grateful .
