๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ THANK YOU BELFAST TELEGRAPH FOR PROVIDING A PLATFORM FOR UNITY, COMPASSION AND SHARED HUMANITY ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

Multi-Ethnic Sports and Cultures NI (MSCNI) would like to sincerely thank the Belfast Telegraph for publishing an important opinion article by our Founder and CEO, Jahswill Emmanuel BEM, at a time when Northern Ireland needs calm, understanding and solidarity.

As communities continue to process recent events, it is vital that we reject division, misinformation and hatred, and instead focus on what unites us as people.

Jahswill Emmanuel BEM said:

"Northern Ireland is stronger when we stand together and remember our shared humanity. The actions of one individual must never be used to judge an entire community. We must continue to choose compassion over hatred, dialogue over division, and unity over fear."

MSCNI remains committed to promoting inclusion, good relations, community cohesion and intercultural understanding through sport, culture and education. We encourage everyone to read and share the article as we work together to build a safer, stronger and more welcoming Northern Ireland for all.

MSCNI was honoured to be represented at the JLF Jaipur Literature Festival at Ulster University.

The festival provided a valuable platform for global thought leaders, academics, and writers to explore themes of history, identity, and intercultural understanding.

A key session attended was:

โ€œEmpire: Ireland, India and the Making of the Modern Worldโ€, featuring:

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸฝWilliam Dalrymple (The Anarchy, The Last Mughal)

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸฝNandini Das (Courting India)

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸฝJane Ohlmeyer (Making Empire)

This session, moderated by Christopher Kissane, offered critical insights into the historical relationships between Ireland and India and their continued relevance in todayโ€™s global context.

For MSCNI, engagement in events like JLF aligns with our mission to promote:

๐ŸŽปIntercultural dialogue and understanding

๐Ÿ‘ฌAnti-racism and inclusion

๐Ÿช‡Community cohesion through shared learning

Such platforms are essential in strengthening relationships across communities and supporting informed, inclusive societies.

We look forward to continuing to engage in and support initiatives that bring people together through culture, education, and dialogue.

MSCNI is proud to be part of the Good Relations Week 2026 Co-Design Steering Group, helping shape one of Northern Irelandโ€™s most important civic platforms promoting inclusion, reconciliation, respect and belonging for all communities.

We are excited to support the development of a week that celebrates diversity, strengthens relationships, and creates opportunities for people from all backgrounds to connect, learn and grow together.

๐Ÿ”‡Jahswill Emmanuel BEM, Founder & CEO of MSCNI, said:

โ€œGood Relations Week is more than a campaign, it is a movement that encourages people to create welcoming spaces, challenge division and build meaningful connections across communities.
