Round 5 of the Honda Cadet 200 at Red Lodge delivered plenty of action, learning and serious determination from Tate!

With mixed grids across three heats before the finals, Tate had to fight hard every time he hit the track — and he did exactly that 💪

Heat 1: Started P9 ➡️ Finished P7 — a solid, confident opener.

Heat 2: A big challenge starting P17 at the back of the grid, but Tate drove brilliantly through heavy traffic to finish P9. Clean, controlled, and composed 👏

Heat 3: Started P3, but an early spin on lap 2 dropped him to the back. What followed was pure grit — climbing back through the field and pulling off an incredible last-lap move, 2 corners before the finish line to gain four places, finishing P8 🔥

Final: Started P9 ➡️ Finished P9 — wheel-to-wheel racing from lights to flag. Elbows out and showing real growth in confidence throughout 🏎️🏁

A weekend full of resilience, racecraft, and valuable experience gained. Every lap counts, and it’s all building. Whilst some knocks have cost places, Tate has taken it on the chin and has come off the track each time with a smile on his face.

Once after a huge thanks to Clint Bridge for guiding and helping Tate improve his race craft.

Now sitting an impressive 8th in the championship out of 30 drivers — and pushing forward 🚀

Trying on Junior Rotax for size 😜

Wow what can I say….Tate surpasses my expectations time after time and I couldn’t prouder!

Going from a 200 Honda cadet straight into a junior rotax is one hell of a step up….4x the power, and a top speed around 70mph (depending on the track), I half expected Tate to struggle a little.

Well struggle he didn’t. Taking it easy on the first few laps to buildup his knowledge of the karts power, then boom, it clicked. A top speed to 64.9mph and a lap time of 42.60s is some impressive stuff….

Massive thanks to Clint Bridge for taking timeout this morning to provide Tate with some encouraging words and give the kart a once over and to Jarrod and Jayden at Ellough Park Raceway Beccles for opening up early so than Tate could get to play in his new toy!

Red Lodge next weekend for Round 5 of the Honda Cadet 200 championship and we are looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Another big step forward for Tate. 💪🏁

With 26 karts entered, the grids were mixed with the cadets competing in 3 out of 4 heats with combined points determining the final group and grid position which made for some tough racing all day.

Heat 2️⃣: Started P3 → Finished P8
Unfortunately Tate got shunted off at the first corner and ended the first lap dead last, but he kept pushing and fought his way back through the pack.

Heat 3️⃣: Started P4 → Finished P6
A solid drive and some great driving to stay in the mix.

Heat 4️⃣: Started P7 → Finished P5
This heat had all the quick kids together, so it was a really tough race. Tate drove brilliantly and held his own against some very strong competition.

Final: Started P8 → Finished P6
An incredible drive in the final to gain two places and bring it home with another strong result.

2nd overall in the clubman class and Tates first Red Lodge Trophy 🏆

Tate also set the 3rd fastest lap in two of the heats, which shows the pace is really coming together. The progress he’s making each round is fantastic to see demonstrating Tates ability and skill.
