The Combination is Back!

After a short break we are delighted to bring you the latest edition of The Combination.

We look back at the events that have taken place across the Combination. From our inaugural women’s representative game to a record breaking cup finals at The Rec and summer 7s at Avon RFC.

We are excited to announce a new Cup competition structure for the season ahead — our most competitive competition format yet.

Designed to create greater equity for all levels of the Combination, the new structure ensures that every club has more to play for, with teams competing against sides more closely matched to their level and not playing a team more than 1 levels above.

The top four ranked Combination sides will battle it out for The Cup, while the next eight teams will fight for The Vase. The final 10 sides will face off in The Bowl, with the four lowest-ranked teams taking part in a preliminary round.

All clubs within the Combination have been ranked based on their playing level and final league position at the end of the 2025/26 season.

The competition format and regulations have been ratified by the Competitions Sub-Committee, with the new structure set to deliver more competitive matches and exciting opportunities for every club.
