A DAY OUR GOALIES DON’T WANT TO MISS 🤝

We will be teaming up with Alan at FIT-BA gym , we will be putting a 45 minute high intense core fitness session on at ShootSoccer.co.uk and a 45 minute goalkeeping session on at NVP whitletts Whitletts Vics In The Community

We are so lucky to have two such good facilities within a 2 minute walk of each other and we are buzzing for this day to happen 😃

Logan , Luke and Ollie were on 🔥 for there monthly session 🤝

We can see massive improvements in all of these goalkeepers, they want to learn and a joy to coach 🧤⚽️

Wow what a Sunday with the goalies 🔥

MS goalkeeping academy appreciate the fundamentals of being a goalkeeper and we put them in to action at these sessions yesterday 🤝🧤⚽️

Being a goalkeeper is far from easy, but if we can get the basics right then we will achieve more 🤝

HANDLING -

W shape of hands 🙌, so important when to know when we change our hand and body shape. If the ball is above chest height then YES the W is so important and effective 🤝

Basket 🧺/ scoop - This comes in to play when we need to make that split decision in training or game days, when the ball is travelling towards us below chest height, change of hands can make all the difference to a positive decision 🤝

DISTRIBUTION -

Kicking/throwing - it’s not always about smashing a ball or throwing a ball as long as possible!!

Us as goalkeepers need to be composed and use the right technique to find that pass and effect the game (short or long passes) when us as goalkeepers get the ball it’s so important to know that we are in control of that situation and it’s our time to make the right decision in that moment 🤝🧤⚽️

Well done to all the goalies for listening and taking all the information provided from the coaches and putting it in to practice 🤝

Well what can we say about the YOUNG TEAM 🤝🧤⚽️🔥

In the last month we have had a few MOTM awards, trainer of the week awards and TOTW awards. Keep smashing it and I’m sure there will be plenty more of this for others to come very soon 😜 🤝!

Well done to JNR MCDOWALL @ bonnyton 2017 and TED ROBIN @ Ayr Boswell 2018 for there MOTM awards, so good to see how well yous are doing in games never mind just the hard graft at training a joy to see at such a young age 🤝🧤⚽️

Well done to FREDDIE JOHNSTONE Ayr Boswell 2018 on trainer of the week, where the hard graft starts as you have to be willing to be a team player and do everything your coaches ask, keep the hard work up 🤝🧤⚽️

Well done to MATTHEW SMART 2018 Whitletts Vics In The Community on getting in to whitletts TOTW not an easy task at all with so many quality goalkeepers at whitletts 🤝🧤⚽️🔥, massive well done and it’s clear to see the hard work is paying off with extra training and willing to learn 🤝

A massive well done to all our YOUNG TEAM ones that have had awards and ones who haven’t yet ( but will soon )😜 yous are a joy to coach week to week and all the coaches can be certain of one thing yous brighten our Sunday evenings up 🤪🤝🧤⚽️
