We are a private swim school providing fantastic bespoke high quality lessons & customer care for Basildon, Billericay, Southend, Benfleet & surrounding locations. We teach from 3 months-adults. Beginners, Intermediate and advanced level swimmers seven days a week. We are a “learn to swim” Swim School. Which means our lessons focus on teaching the correct techniques & water safety skills in all s
tage classes. We ask our parents to get into the water to support their own beginner swimmer during the start of their learn to swim journey. This means 100 percent correct practice time & the children do not have to wear arm bands during their lessons. Once Breath control & independent floating has been mastered, which are the fundamental first steps when learning to Swim, children then move onto independent lessons without needing their parent in the water. Our Teachers instruct from the poolside for all lessons to ensure a safe overview of the whole class group and to ensure that the correct practices are being performed safely at all times. We teach the correct flat horizontal body position, breath control & floating techniques without using arm bands from the very start. Once mastered, these skills are then built upon, as swimmers move on to independent classes where breathing and all four stroke techniques are introduced along with water safety skills. Working through our learn to swim stages gives children the abilities to become safe, water confident swimmers. Distance, stamina and lifesaving skills are then added into the program for our advanced swimmers. We also have the option of a 45 minute class to improve stamina, which includes lifesaving skills, relays & games whilst also ensuring stroke techniques are still maintained. Our team of experienced teachers all work to the same exceptionally high Aqua Aims teaching standards to ensure consistency across all classes and locations. Owners Brad & Carol personally oversee all areas of our Swim School and provide all customer care, bookings and Teacher to parent feedback, whenever requested.
