💥RDL's💥

Probably my favourite exercise, but also one of the hardest to learn. Brilliant for developing your Glutes & hamstrings.

1.The set up
Set the 20kg barbell up on the rack around knee height . You can also start this exercise with the barbell from the floor, this just makes it easier to add/remove weights.
- Keep back straight, knees slightly bent and carefully de rack, taking a couple of steps back. Feet should be about shoulder width apart.
- start with your back straight, knees locked.. Then soften your knees so their only slightly bent. Engage your lats by relaxing your shoulders.

2. Technique & movement
- imagine there is a barbell attached to your spine, so your neck/head should always be alined throughout the movement.
-keep your shoulders back so they're not rounding.
- imagine a resistance band around your hips that's trying to pull your hips back, and the barbell is Gluted to your legs through the movement.
The only thing your moving are your hips and you hinge them back.

3. Depth
- For most people, bringing the barbell just past your knees is comfortable. But depending on your flexibility you may be able to go a bit lower, but remember you should mainly feel this in your Glutes/hamstrings. So if you feel it in your back or your back/shoulders are rounding , you may be going too low.

And questions just comment or message! 😊

I've been so busy studying and creating content for future clients and my website that I haven't been posting on here. So here's a quick thank you to you all for liking and continuing to follow this page.

Over the next few weeks I'll be posting a lot more. Everything from fat loss advice, explaining how fat loss and muscle building works, nutrition and mindset advice.
But for now, here's my workout this morning. I've been loving this style of training during this lockdown.
If anyone needs advice on anything fitness related, please feel free to message me, I'll always make time to help someone who's wanting to better themselves.

Following yesterday's last minute news, please take this time to focus on yourself.

Yes you may be feeling angry, disappointed and upset but there isn't much we can do. We need to keep our loved ones safe.

So take this time to sit and spend time with yourself. Focus on what you can control. Write down what you are grateful for, and what the most important thing is to you right now... remind yourself of that. Write a list of things you want to focus on in 2021 and goals you want to achieve (as impossible as that may seem right now, you CAN make it work).

We don't know what's going to happen in 2021 but if this year has taught us anything it's so be grateful for what/who we have and to do the most that we can with our current situation. There's always something you could be doing or improving, even if you don't feel like there is. Use this time to focus on your wellbeing & change your mindset. You can sit and continue to dwell on everything and take no action to improve your current situation, but that's not really going to get you anywhere.

So yes, enjoy yourself this Christmas and spend time with loved ones if you can, but also take steps towards doing something that is really going to help you.

That's your focus for the New Year.

Please stay safe, & stay active.
