DREAM TEAM
Congratulations to Hattie, Imogen and Darcey on making this week’s Dream Team.
Our U18 girls were playing against a very strong team from Currie at the weekend, as part of the Ayrshire U18 girls’ squad, and Hattie put in a great performance during the game. Hattie has always been a leader on the pitch for the Ayr U18s, and her strong tackling, ball carrying and ferocious rucking at the weekend really helped the team to manage an excellent victory against a very strong Currie team. Well done, Hattie
Following a great performance at the weekend, Imogen’s attacking play was excellent, with direct and powerful running with the ball in hand and running excellent support lines for her teammates. Imogen made some great tackles in defense and was quickly over the ruck to secure the ball on a number of occasions. Another strong performance from an ever-improving player. Well done Imogen.
Our U12s travelled to Marr at the weekend for a development game against a very strong Marr team. This provided a stern test for our girls as they came up against one of the best teams they have played at this level. Darcey did not let her head go down as the team struggled to cope with the strong running of the Marr attack and made some strong tackles in defense and provided constant support to her teammates. She was also direct in attack, making meters up the field at every opportunity against a well drilled defense. A very good performance against such a strong team. Well done Darcey.
