REMINDER - LAST CHANCE TO SIGN UP
South Ayrshire Swim Team (SAST) – Come and Try Sessions 2026

The next SAST Come and Try Session is now available to sign up to! We are looking for grow our Transition and Development Squads and our upcoming Come and Try Session is aimed at welcoming new swimmers to the club. These sessions are specifically for swimmers aged 10 and under (at the start of 2026) who are competent across all four swimming strokes (Butterfly not essential) and comfortable in deep water. If swimmers are in South Ayrshire Council's Learn to Swim program, we will consider swimmers in Skills 4 or above.

Our next 'Come and Try Session' will take place on:
Tuesday 19th May 2026, 7.15-8.15pm @ Citadel, Ayr

It's a busy weekend across the country for SAST swimmers!

We have swimmers racing at the West District LC May Meet in East Kilbride as well as a small number of swimmers down at the Arena Manchester LC Open Meet. This is the last weekend for swimmers to post times in the Summer Meet qualification window.

We also have swimmers in Dundee at the SDS Senior Nationals today!

A massive thank you to everyone who took part in the Kiltwalk the other week and raised funds for the club!

The weather played ball across the weekend and it was great to see so many of our members out taking part! From the Big Stroll (14 miles) to the Mighty Stride (23 miles) everyone did brilliantly, although some are still regretting the blisters!

We have raised a brilliant amount, especially when you factor in the 25% gift aid added on top! We are delighted to have exceed our target [there is one large amount still to be linked to our Kiltwalk fundraising page which will officially take us past the target!].

Good luck to everyone racing this weekend at the East Kilbride Long Course Open Meet at what is a very warm and bright Dollan Aqua Centre!

This meet is another opportunity for our swimmers to post some long course times in the Summer Meet Qualification Window. Many of our younger swimmers will also be racing long course for the first time as well!
