APRIL RECAP ⚽️

Easter futsal camp was a huge success, with plenty of new faces joining us 🙌
Our coaches proudly represented the futsal lionesses at their first-ever home fixtures. An inspiring moment witnessed by some of our academy players 🦁

Whilst on England duty, Charlotte Gurr and Emma Tune of based futsal club Tune Into Futsal both scored against Slovakia in history making games as hosted their first ever Lionesses Futsal games on home soil.

Two games were played in as many days as Ashford also had a 3rd representative in goalkeeper Alicia Grimmond.

The first international friendly saw Slovakia coming away with a 3-2 win, with Charlotte Gurr playing as ‘Fly Goalkeeper’, she pulled a goal back for the . ⚽️

On day 2, England captain Emma Tune made in 1-0 to take revenge with the first goal of the afternoon in a 5-2 victory over the Slovaks. 👏

Congratulations to all 3 of you for playing your part in such a historic occasion. 🙌

Ashford representing England 🦁

Lioness captain Emma Tune of Ashford’s Tune Into Futsal, and coaches Alicia Grimmond and Charlotte Gurr, have been named in the England Lionesses futsal squad who travel to Eastern Europe later this month to take on Bosnia & Herzegovina, Lithuania, and Serbia in the qualifiers of the UEFA Futsal Women’s Euro 2027. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
