Craster Coastal Rowing Club are very excited to announce this new event. Alnwick Brewery Co & Taproom has kindly offered to host and put together this Wine & Cheese evening in their brilliant venue at Hawkhill, just outside of Alnwick.

The wine is being brought in by Alnwick Brewery working with Ian, owner of the Cheese Room at Alnwick Deli who is going to pair the cheese with the wine and talk us all through it. The cheese will be hand picked by Ian to compliment the chosen wine (he is very experienced at this 👍).

There will also be a cheese and wine quiz for light entertainment. The normal bar will be open so the brilliant Alnwick Brewery beers are also available through out the night 6-9pm and it’s a closed event so just those with tickets get to enjoy the experience. Please do share with friends!

🚣‍♀️ CRASTER COASTAL ROWING CLUB – NOW IN OUR 10TH YEAR! 🚣‍♂️

We’re proud to say that Craster Coastal Rowing Club is going from strength to strength, thanks to incredible community support and a shared passion for the water 🌊

💙 So much has happened recently:
• Huge thanks to Alncom for sponsoring lifejackets for our juniors
• Craster Kippers: L. Robson & Sons Ltd funded a brand-new boat cover and supported boat renovations
• With support from Community Chest, we now have two new sets of oars
• Both boats have had a full renovation, thanks to the valued support of the Robertson family (Embers / The Village Farm Shop)

🎉 Our fundraising has been amazing too! Brilliant quiz nights at The Greys Inn and The Jolly Fisherman have brought the community together and boosted club spirit 🙌

🌟 What’s next?
From May, we’re launching from a new spot at Low Newton, creating even more opportunities to get out on the water and welcome new members!

💬 With strong community backing and exciting developments ahead, there’s never been a better time to get involved.

On Bank Holiday Monday we unveiled the newly renovated Craster Kipper! A tremendous effort by all involved and thank you to everyone who made the day so special 🥂

All welcome. Please join us for the launch of our second St Ayles Skiff, the Craster Kipper, at 12 noon. Originally built in Craster and now beautifully renovated by our Club members at Embleton Mill by kind permission of the Robertson family. She has been painted by expertly skilled Steve Patterson in North Sunderland.

After a great weekend in Eyemouth for Cox training, our next outing will be joining a skiff crew from Beadnell Sailing Club. Meeting for 9.30am in Craster to travel up to the BSC for tea, coffee and cake to go out the water from a beach launch ☀️
