⭐ WELL DONE SOMERCOTES! ⭐

What a fantastic afternoon of dancing we had yesterday! 💃🤠
You certainly kept yourselves busy — we fitted lots into the class, had some fun dancing in contra, introduced our two Dolly dances, and I even managed to sneak in a little bit of Halloween! 🎃✨

🎃 I keep trying to sneak a little Halloween into our classes as we build up towards the end of October, and yesterday was no exception!

We finished the afternoon dancing Electric Slide to My Time to Howl by Lorrie Morgan. 🐺🎶

And we’d already been busy before the class even officially started!

💙 And I have some exciting news for Somercotes...

You’ve all been doing so well with the extra challenges I’ve been giving you that I’m very happy to say that, starting in October, Somercotes will be getting its very own Spotlight Dance of the Month! ⭐💃

It’s a lovely sign of just how much the class has progressed, and it will give us something new to work towards together each month.

For the rest of September, though, our challenge is Rhumbumbumba! We’ll keep working on the slower version, getting those steps comfortable and confident — and then we’ll see if we can tackle the faster version by the end of the month! 🤠👏

And there’s something else to look forward to...

🎄✨ Our Stardust Christmas Social will be coming to Somercotes on Saturday 21st November! ✨🎄

A lovely afternoon of dancing, fun and Christmas celebrations together — more details coming soon! ❤️
