Meet the Team: Miss Monk
With a passion for performance and education, Miss Monk brings a wealth of expertise to our drama department.

After completing her Theatre Studies and Drama degree at Lancaster University in 2011, she gained extensive experience as a drama teacher for a local academy. Her commitment to the arts led her to establish a community Amateur Dramatics group in 2016, fostering a love for the stage in her local village.

In addition to her work at the studio, Miss Monk is a qualified Primary School teacher and serves as the Curriculum Lead for Performing Arts at her school. Her unique blend of professional drama training and primary education expertise ensures our students receive high-quality, engaging, and supportive instruction.
Whether she is helping students find their voice or blocking a new scene,
Miss Monk is dedicated to helping every performer shine!

Qualifications:
BA (Hons) Theatre Studies & Drama, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Meet the Principal: Miss Cutting
With over 20 years of experience and a professional CV spanning the BBC, ITV, and Channel 4, our Principal, Miss Cutting, offers a wealth of industry expertise to our studio.

A former professional actor and choreographer (Casualty, Doctors, Shameless, Miss Cutting spent a decade at one of the Midlands' largest television casting agencies. She holds high-level qualifications across the RAD, ISTD, LCM, NATD, and LAMDA, and is a certified Acrobatic Arts Adjudicator.

Having grown up within the school, Miss Cutting is dedicated to inspiring the next generation. Whether she's teaching Ballet, Street, or Drama, her mission is to provide professional standards and passion to every student in Ripley.

Qualifications:
RAD RTS, ANATD (Modern-Stage, Stage Branch Tap, Street), NATD Certified Contemporary & Gymnastic Dance, P.Cert LAM, ACA, ALCM, ISTD DDE (Modern & Tap).

Fun Fact: Miss Cutting once choreographed a four-month tap dancing storyline for the BBC!
