"The more ice time, the better the player."
It's one of the most common beliefs in youth hockey - but is it true?
While time on the ice is important, quality always beats quantity.
A focused practice with clear objectives, constructive coaching, and proper recovery will help a player develop far more than simply adding extra hours to their schedule.
Long-term development isn't about being on the ice every day. It's about training with purpose, building strong fundamentals, and staying healthy enough to keep improving.
Every player develops at their own pace, and smart training creates lasting results.
