RAMUS Quick Setup Tips
Setting up RAMUS is a little different from setting up a traditional long nose saddle.
Because RAMUS is very short, nose based measurements are not the best reference. Start from your actual aero sitting position, then fine tune fore and aft, tilt and height in small steps.
If you normally ride on the narrow nose of a long saddle, with pressure right where you don’t want it, use that pelvic position as the reference. With RAMUS, place the front contact area under that same aero sitting position. This gives you support where you need it, without a long saddle nose extending forward between your legs, while keeping pressure comfortably away.
Fore and aft:
In aero, you should feel supported without constantly pushing yourself forward or sliding back.
Tilt:
Start level. If you feel pressure in the front, lower the nose only slightly. If you slide forward, bring it back up in very small steps.
Height:
Start close to your previous saddle height, but check that you are not reaching at the bottom of the pedal stroke.
Change one thing at a time.
Small changes make a big difference.
