ACORN BANK 10K - SUNDAY

The club championship is being held at Acorn Bank on Sunday. To save on the number of cars travelling down can we organise some car share. Anyone driving who has spare seats, or anyone who needs a lift please let us know so we can get things organised. Jenny and I will be going and have some spare room in the car but as is normal for us when travelling south we will be stopping at Pioneer in Carlisle on the way back for a brunch.

Now that the dust has settled on the Doonhamer 2026 race I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who made it possible.
Firstly to all the runners who signed up and ran. To our incredible team of race marshals, lead bike, set up crew, timing team, event village crew and photographers. To the Town band and Braxton the piper and our very own dancing cow. To The Hut Dock Park for opening early. To the generous support of our main sponsor James Jones & Son’s and the the multitude of individuals and businesses , far too many to mention who provided support or Spot Prizes. Many of you enjoyed exploring the aircraft for the aviation museum and tried a spot of CPR training from the DH9 foundation. Our amazing sustainable wildflower medals from Earth Runs, who also kindly designed the race logo for our new race t shirts. Lloyds Maxus Dumfries who gave us an electric van for the weekend which transformed our race logistics.
The application for next year’s event on Sunday 29th August has already gone in, and entries will open Easter 2027.
Once again THANK YOU to everyone, see you in 2027.

CALL OUT FOR RACE MARSHAL HELP!
Harriers are holding their annual 10k race on SUNDAY 27th SEPTEMBER.
It would be wonderful if you were able to come along to support the runners from approximately 9;15am until 11;30am.
