Q:Who can play for the Munich Kangaroos? A: Everybody is welcome to join either the men’s team or the women’s team as either a player or a social club member.

Bayern League - Phil Klink The youngest member of our club is 16 years old whilst the oldest is 50 years old. Q: Do you have to be fit? A: That is very relative. In general

, yes. Most of the game consists of running and sprinting. The fitter you are, the more you will get out of the game personally. Q: How many players play the game? A: An official AFL game has 18 players on the ground per side plus interchange players on the bench. So total players on the ground excluding umpires is 36. An AFLG game has a bit less. We can field as many as 18 or as little as 9 players per side. Q: Are the Munich Kangaroos successful? A: The Munich Kangaroos have had a very good track record with premiership wins. The roos also won the first premiership held for the newly re-formed AFLG in 2003. Every year the competition gets better and better and as a result new players are always needed. Q:I'm keen to play, what do I do now? A: Contact us or you can simply turn up to a training night and participate or introduce yourself first by sending us a message over Facebook.

Our men’s team also took to the field at Olympiapark this past Saturday to face off against the Stuttgart Giants and Rheinland Lions and they put on a massive performance across both games to lock in two great wins!
Despite the heat on the day, all teams played incredibly well and fought hard until the final siren 📣

*Game 2: Munich Kangaroos 7.6 (48) vs. Rheinland Lions 5.2 (32)

First home game day of the season in the books, and what a day to be a Kangaroo! Our women’s team took to the field at Olympiapark this past Saturday (May 23) to face off against the Southern Giants, and they absolutely crushed it! 🔥

A massive performance across all four quarters saw the girls lock in a dominant win:
* Munich Kangaroos: 12.7 (79)
* Southern Giants: 3.7 (25)

Thank you to the Southern Giants for making the trip and giving us a fantastic battle, and a massive thanks to everyone who came out to support!

This Saturday, the Munich Kangaroos are back on home turf for the season’s first home game day and the weather is looking absolutely perfect! Our women’s team will be taking on the Southern Giants, while the men face off against both the and ☀️🏉

While the boys were taking care of business on the footy field, the girls had a massive winning weekend of their own! We headed to Iphofen and Würzburg for the ultimate celebration: Maddi’s engagement! 💍🎉

Safe to say, we absolutely crushed the weekend itinerary. Highlights included:

🍇 Wine tastings in the gorgeous Franconia region

🏰 Wandering through stunning medieval old towns

🍹 Fueling the fun with plenty of margaritas

First AFLG game day of the season in the books for our men’s team and it did not disappoint! 🦘🏉 The boys headed to Dresden to take on the and . Two games, two wins for the Munich Kangaroos to start the season right!

The footy was great, but the post-game bonding was next level. Highlights included: 🛒 shopping trolley rides, ✏️ late-night learning and 💍 celebrations for Ty’s engagement!

On April 23 we kicked off this season’s Bayern League, a series of intramural games in which Roo runs against Roo. This year the Tegernsee Tigers took on the Wiesn Vipers and after a series of standout goals - including Gemma’s first - the Vipers took the victory. Here’s to this season’s clash of clans - and Vipers, watch out for the Tigers’ return on Thursday, may 28!

The sun is out and our calendar is officially packed. We’re sticking to our weekly rhythm with outdoor training every Tuesday and Thursday at Hirschgarten, followed by a stop by the beer garden on Thursday nights. 🍻

Aside from the weekly grind, don’t miss the big ones: the men’s team travels to Dresden and we host a home game & after party for both the men’s and women’s teams! We’re also fitting in a hiking day, a general meeting and a round of lasertag!
