What a brilliant day yesterday bringing people together.

The Leicester Tigers Wheelchair Rugby Club Charity, with the Leicester Tigers Foundation🐯 , hosted a corporate day for our headline sponsor Häfele UK Ltd. filled with team building, storytelling, and lived experience.

We were also joined by special guests Sophie Wilson and Jacob Smith from the Matt Hampson Foundation , and guests met the players, coaches, and wider team, including a Q&A and coaching session with Paralympians Jamie Stead and Robin Tarr.

A powerful reminder of the impact of connection, collaboration, and inclusion.

In the final round of the WR5s season last weekend we had 2 players from the Swifts and 1 from our Tigers achieve a “Best In Class” award for showing exceptional performance in their classification.

What a weekend to finish the WR5s season.

This year has been built on heart, passion, and relentless hard work, and that was clear to see right through to the final whistle. Our Leicester Tigers Swifts are League One Champions after another dominant display, securing promotion to the Championship for next season. A fantastic achievement and a true reflection of the commitment, belief, and togetherness shown by the squad all year.

Our Leicester Tigers also gave everything in the Premiership, finishing with a hard-fought 2nd place after a fast-paced and fierce showdown with newcomers Penrith Pumas. The final game ended 21–17 to Pumas, and with both teams tied at the top of the table, it was the head-to-head record that saw the newcomers crowned champions.

Led into battle by Swifts captain Karl Major and Tigers captain Carl Misselbrook, both squads showed incredible leadership, resilience, and pride in the badge throughout the season.

Of course, our Tigers were disappointed to fall just short this time, but the development of the squad and the success of our Swifts shows that the hard work being done off the court is starting to shine through on it.

A huge congratulations to Penrith Pumas on their title win — a result that shows just how far the WR5s discipline has come over the years.

Swifts are soaring, and the Tigers will be back ready for battle.

Today we celebrate Lauren Saphir as she reaches an incredible milestone—50 caps for Leicester Tigers Wheelchair Rugby Club! 🐯🏉💚

Since making the transition from basketball to wheelchair rugby just a few years ago, Lauren has embraced every challenge and gone from strength to strength. Her dedication, determination, and willingness to learn have seen her grow into a key part of the Tigers squad.

A standout defender with an exceptional ability to read the game, Lauren’s impact extends far beyond the scoresheet. Her hard work has already helped the club achieve success, including National Championship glory and lifting the Rugbymania title in Prague in 2025.

As a GB Pathway athlete, Lauren continues to develop with every season and has all the potential to achieve great things in the sport. We can’t wait to see where her journey takes her next.

Congratulations on your 50th cap, Lauren. Here’s to everything you’ve achieved so far—and to many more milestones in a Tigers shirt! 💚🖤

Today we celebrate an incredible milestone as Jules Allen earns his 50th cap for Leicester Tigers Wheelchair Rugby Club! 🐯🏉💚

Jules’ journey is one of resilience, determination, and unwavering commitment. A proud veteran, he has represented Team UK with distinction at the Invictus Games, bringing home silver medals in both 2022 and 2024. His dedication on and off the court continues to inspire teammates, supporters, and the wider wheelchair rugby community.

Reaching 50 caps is a testament to the hard work, passion, and leadership Jules brings every time he pulls on the Tigers shirt.

Congratulations, Jules, on this fantastic achievement! 💚🖤
