Leicester Tigers Wheelchair Rugby Club is a dynamic and inclusive sports team dedicated to promoting and developing wheelchair rugby across the Midlands and beyond. Affiliated with the iconic Leicester Tigers Rugby Union club, we provide opportunities for athletes with physical impairments to engage in competitive sport, build confidence, and be part of a passionate community. We offer a supportive environment with professional coaching, structured training sessions, and the chance to compete in national leagues under Great Britain Wheelchair Rugby (GBWR). Through sport, we aim to empower individuals, challenge perceptions of disability, and inspire the next generation of wheelchair rugby players. The stage is set once again as our Leicester Tigers and Swifts head into Round 2 of the WR5s league season.

Our Tigers return to the Premiership ready for another challenging weekend of top-level competition. With Sebastien Verdin unavailable for selection, we welcome back Jules Allen, Lauren Saphir and Clive Smith as we reshape the squad and prepare to battle hard once again. This round will also see a special milestone for Hayley Cassin, who earns her 50th Tigers cap — a fantastic achievement and a proud moment for the club.

Our Swifts continue their League One campaign after a strong start to the season, looking to build on their Round One form with strong performances across the squad once again.

It’s another exciting round of WR5s rugby ahead, and both teams are ready to give everything on court.
