Women in Motorsport isn’t a campaign for us. It’s part of our history.
This is our mother, back in the 1960s — when racing was still pure. Pictured after the Ethiopian Highland Rally.
A mini skirt, an open-face helmet… and a genuine passion for motorsport.
But her story didn’t stop behind that wheel.
She carried that passion into her family, always encouraging her sons, supporting their involvement in motorsport and passing on something that would eventually become part of the DNA of Maffi Racing.
And remarkably, almost 60 years later, that passion is still there.
Today, she remains one of the team’s biggest fans. She watches every single race — in full — following the team, the drivers and every lap with the same enthusiasm she had all those decades ago.
So when we speak about women in motorsport, for us it isn’t about following a trend.
We grew up seeing that passion has no gender.
Long before today’s conversations about creating opportunities for women in racing, there was a woman in our family who simply loved motorsport and got behind the wheel.
That legacy matters to us.
Because sometimes the future of motorsport begins with remembering where you came from.
The passion is real.
The roots run deep.
And the story continues.
