Interesting new research suggests that having a happy marriage can be a big problem for a couple’s longevity.

The finding: happier couples showed signs of slower cellular aging, as expected, but only among couples who also exercised regularly, slept well, and ate a healthy diet. When those habits were poor, the benefit of their happy partnership faded. In some cases, a joyful marriage paired with poor sleep and diet was linked to faster telomere shortening (the protective caps on our chromosomes).

An interesting read.

When it comes to living longer, marital bliss is only half the solution.
