As the summer approaches, our thoughts inevitably focus on how to make the best of the precious days that lay ahead.

This season, from early summer to early fall, we are opening a small number of self-styled retreat stays at Rancho Relaxo… a place where you can unwind to the laid-back rhythm of the coast. 🌊

Just come as you are, there’s no set schedule. You’re free to shape your days as you wish – slow mornings, time out in the fresh sea air, private moments of stillness. 🌅

Scrolling through my phone I came across these photos. They were taken during my last teacher training in Mysore India right before Covid hit. I learned so much from working with these extraordinary yogis. In fact, every training I’ve ever given has taught me something new. I love how the line between student and teacher becomes blurred when you lose yourself in the journey of discovering what is possible. ❤️

Whenever a core workout is mentioned, many want to run for the hills. It always feels like a lot of effort, yet what we often don’t realize is that we are using core muscles in almost all of the poses and movements we normally do in class. But, like anything, when we choose to focus on something specific, it hones our concentration and strengthens our awareness, as well as our muscles.

Think of the core as the support girdle for the spine. Most people think that it consists of just your abdominals and 6-pack muscles - but it actually includes the entire anatomical region from your collarbones to your pelvic floor.
