POP-UP CLASS w/ AKIRA UCHIDA✨
Based across NYC and LA, Ottawa-born Akira Uchida is a dancer, choreographer, and director whose work sits at the intersection of movement, film, animation, fashion, and photography. He has choreographed and movement-directed for music artists including Florence and the Machine, Ravyn Lenae, HAAi, Leon Vynehall, Saint Levant and INJI, and has performed with Bad Bunny on SNL as well as in Ariana Grande’s “Yes, And?” music video.
Alongside his artistic and commercial work, Akira is deeply committed to teaching and mentorship. He regularly leads workshops and pop-up classes across the NYC dance scene, is a faculty member with REVEL Dance Convention, and serves as a board member at Share The Movement, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting and expanding opportunities for young BIPOC dancers.
