Kids will have an opportunity to learn with hands-on activities for all sorts of topics such as science 🧪🔬, art🎨🖌, teamwork🤝🏼, music🎶, fitness🏋🏼‍♀️, friendship🩷, sports⚽️🎾🏀, health 🍎and wellness🧘🏻‍♂️, technology👩🏻‍💻and more! With lots of daily movement, skill sessions and workout blocks lead by CrossFit Kids Coaches, kids will be sure to end the week fitter and stronger than they started. With an emphasis on teamwork and group activities, children will be able to make new friends and have fun with kids their age.

BRING A FRIEND WEEK IS BACK🎉

This time, with a Trivia Night Community event to close out the week!

From Monday, May 25th through Sunday, May 31st, friends, family, people-you-kinda-know, or even total strangers can attend our CrossFit Classes (here's the kicker) FOR FREE!!! This is available for our Regular CrossFit Classes, the Masters Class AND GRIT Youth CrossFit Classes!

So what do you need to know?

Regular CrossFit WOD Classes
🟣Ages 16+ (minors must have a parent or guardian sign for them)
🟡You MUST arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your first class to fill out a waiver
🔵You can attend as many classes throughout the week as you'd like
🟣You do NOT need to attend with your member-friend
🟡You don't even need to know anyone here to attend!
🔵You don't need ANY prior fitness experience!

Masters CrossFit Classes
🟣Classes run Monday - Friday at 8:30am
🟡Is designed for those who are 50+
🔵You MUST arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your first class to fill out the waiver
🟣You don't need ANY prior fitness experience (in fact, you are even MORE encouraged to come out if you don't have any fitness experience!)

GRIT Youth CrossFit Classes
🟡GRIT Fitness (Beginner Level/Younger Athletes) runs Tuesday/Thursday at 5:30pm
🔵GRIT Athletes (Intermediate/Older Athletes) runs Monday/Wednesday at 6:30pm and Saturdays at 9:30am
🟣GRIT All Ages (mix and match ages and abilities) runs Saturdays at 8:30am

🟡All the classes are 1 Hour Long
🔵A Parent or Legal Guardian MUST sign a waiver for each child prior to the start of their first class
🟣Children do not need ANY prior fitness experience in order to attend!

To close out what is sure to be another awesome Bring a Friend Week, we're hosting a Trivia night right here at WCF on Saturday, May 30th with Josh from Chapter 2 Brewing Co.

When: Saturday, May 30th - 7:00pm Start Time
Who: All members & their friends & family are invited!
Cost: $40 Cash upon arrival per team
Team Info: Teams need a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 6 people
Extras: Snacks and refreshments provided by WCF otherwise BYOB (this is not officially a pot luck but you're not NOT allowed to bring something)

We cook lots of fancy meals but I like to post the quick stuff! Ya’ll are busy 🐝

Costco frozen edamame beans > 4 mins in microwave

Leftovers potatoes tossed in mayonnaise (made with avocado oil if you can find it 👀), pickles, mustard, salt. Add some chopped veggies if you have time.

Mango salsa (I’ll concede this is only fast because I have a food processor and have made this a hundred times). We used Neil Bros organic tortillas to scoop.

Roasted chicken from Sobeys. Also sausages from Sobeys on the BBQ for 15-20 mins.

The whole dinner took the length of the cook time of sausages. You get faster the more you cook. 👩🏼‍🍳

A breakfast like this can take MINUTES to prep. Whisk some eggs, add some salt and bake them in a pie dish. Bacon on a baking sheet. In the oven while you get your stuff done in the morning. Fruit is your convenient best friend.

We don’t need to be serving our kids toast, muffins and cereal because they’re quick. If we plan a little there are much better options! If you’re a meal prepper, you can do frittatas in the oven and freeze them, pre-sliced, for easy thawing.

Make protein a far a part of your morning ☀️
