The PGA of BC Awards Celebration nominations close tonight at 11:59 pm!

This is a wonderful opportunity to recognize the people and places that make golf in British Columbia so special.

From your favourite golf facility to the Golf Professional who has made an impact on your game or your experience, the PGA of BC Awards celebrate those who help our golf community thrive.

If someone comes to mind, take a few minutes to recognize them with a nomination. Nominations are open to PGA of BC members and the general public.

Nominate your favourites before tonight’s deadline through the PGA of BC.

The PGA of BC is proud to announce that the nomination period for the 2026 Awards Celebration is now open! The nomination period will remain open until Thursday, August 27 at 11:59pm PT.

All PGA of BC members, as well as members of the general public, are invited to nominate deserving candidates across the Association's award categories.

Provincial winners will be announced at the PGA of BC Awards Celebration presented by Golf Trends Inc., taking place Tuesday, October 27 at the Langley Events Centre. Provincial winners will also be forwarded as the PGA of BC's nominees for the corresponding PGA of Canada Awards.

Here at Morgan Creek Golf Course, friendships can be made and maintained summer after summer.  Ben has worked on the grounds crew for 6 seasons and has never been late, comes with a smile and is a standup guy. Ben's first day here he put a mower into 14 pond so were happy he pulled through and became one of our seasoned mentors, teaching the new recruits which ponds to avoid with their mowers. 

On his last day on the Grounds Crew Ben requested to split mowing 13 green with his best buddy Matteo. Matteo and Ben met their first season together back in 2021. Ben is off to law school in Australia and is not coming back for the 2027 season. He will be missed by everyone on the crew, and we wish him the best on his new adventure down under!

Last week, our junior golfers proudly represented Morgan Creek with two teams at the Jack McLaughlin Memorial Pro-Junior Championship in Squamish.

Both teams played some fantastic golf, finishing 7th and 8th overall. One of our teams stayed right in the hunt until the closing holes, making for an exciting finish.

More importantly, the players had an incredible experience, created lasting memories, and enjoyed competing on a beautiful golf course alongside some of the province's top junior talent.

We are so proud of the way they represented Morgan Creek both on and off the course. Congratulations to all of our juniors and thank you to everyone who helped make it such a memorable event.
