Prince George Cycling Club

Prince George Cycling Club The Prince George Cycling Club represents all aspects of riding in Prince George with the purpose of promoting bicycling in all forms.

The club organizes workshops, clinics and events in the areas of road, mountain, and urban cycling. We host over 100 activities during the year including:
- Road Races and Time Trials
- Trail Building Nights
- Learn to Ride Youth Clinics
- Bike Week
- Group Rides
- Community Events

Sponsor of the week, Double feature. Big thank you to Ruckus for sponsoring not one but two trails! This trail is a local gem and would not be here if it weren’t for the crew at Ruckus!

For 17 years locally owned Ruckus has supported Prince George with all its skiing, snowboarding and biking needs. Mark the owner of Ruckus has dedicated countless hours to trail building and maintenance over the years alongside some amazing volunteers! The Kitchen Sink, Lazy Susan, and Sally House Coat loop were part of this group’s hard work! The Loop got its start in 2015, built by an awesome crew that included Eric, Shannon, and Mark, pictured here, along with many other volunteers whose hard work made it all possible. Over 1000 voluntary combined hours went into building the trail in one year! It was even featured on Pink Bike as the trail of the month.

Q: What’s your favourite outdoor activity?
A: feel like a trick or something. Favourite outdoor activity? Bikes. Anything bike. It’s pretty high up there on the indoor activity list too.

Q: Do you have a favourite trail?
A: I don’t think I can pick a favourite trail. It doesn’t seem fair. Too many fun ones to choose. If I absolutely had to pick one it would probably be Cranbrook Hill road. Freshly swept and closed to traffic would be peak. That decent definitely gets my heart pumping. Off road? I honestly can’t pick one. There’s some new stuff that’s really fun but also some icons that just never get boring or old. It’s all good.

Q: Describe your perfect weekend
A: Perfect weekend is lots of coffee, good food and epic rides with lots of people. Fondos, Shuttle Laps, Bike Park, gruelling XC pedal or even just a long coffee road ride. Big laughs and sunshine with no smoke doesn’t go unnoticed these days. Doesn’t get much better than that.

Come race Pidherny and Tabor Mountain for a chance at some cash prizes. Entry is $30, and registration is now open at princegeorgecyclingclub.ca
