Nanaimo WCS Collective West Coast Swing Dance in Nanaimo. We organize classes, workshops and monthly dances. Everyone is welcome! Email [email protected] for information.

We are a friendly group who host West Coast Swing social dances every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month at Wellington Hall, Nanaimo, and a class series in Lantzville on Thursday nights. The Nanaimo West Coast Swing Collective is an informal group of all who enjoy West Coast Swing dance in the central Vancouver Island area. Classes are held every Thursday at Costin Hall, 7232 Lantzville Road, by advance registration.

What a great bunch of dancers turned out for west coast swing tonight! Enthusiastic new dancers (some inspired by Nanaimo Dance Fusion), old friends, and experienced dancers new to Nanaimo, plus a great workshop by Emily, all combined for a super energy evening.

It is with a heavy heart that we inform you of the sudden passing of David Tolksdorff this past weekend.
This is a huge and tragic loss for our dance community, but even more so for his family and his partner Claudia Houwers.
At this time we ask that you respect the family’s wishes for privacy and keep condolences to emails only .
We all send our deepest condolences to them at this time.

Thanks to Vicki Linfitt and the NBDS Board for putting our beyond-words grief into these kind words.
