Meet Brianne! 👋 With over 18 years of line dancing under her belt, Brianne’s love for the dance floor runs deep.

She’s taken her skills all the way to the top, competing at the legendary UCWDC World Championships! 🏆

When she isn't line dancing, you can find her tearin' it up on the West Coast Swing circuit, competing in Jack & Jill divisions where spontaneity and connection are key.

We are thrilled to welcome Tasha back for her third season at SR Dance Academy! 🩰

✨ Tasha has been a driving force behind our thriving Musical Theatre program and the creative mind behind many of our award-winning competitive contemporary and jazz solos.

This season, she is taking on an even larger role in our competitive program, and we are so excited to watch our students grow under her guidance! Plus, this September marks the official launch of SRDA's brand-new Acro program led by Tasha—the perfect opportunity for dancers to build strength, flexibility, and new skills. 🤸‍♀️

Established over 15 years ago, SR Dance Academy is a premier, family-friendly studio dedicated to making dance accessible to everyone.

From fun recreational classes for youth and adults to high-level competitive tracks, we have a program for every goal.

Our leadership extends far beyond the studio walls—Sara is the proud Event Director of Nanaimo Dance Fusion, an incredible annual weekend event. We are so excited to bring Mako back in her fourth season with SR Dance Academy!

Mako is passionate about sharing her love of dance and inspiring the next generation of dancers.

She oversees many of the studio's competition programs, which have consistently earned top overall placements and outstanding results.

Mako is excited to continue helping dancers grow in both their technique and confidence while contributing to SRDA's ongoing success.

We offer a few levels at the studio. Once part of our teams you can also add solo's and duets into the competitions that we attend.

Some of our dancers compete in solos such as Contemporary, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Jazz and Ballet!

We are so lucky to have Champion Dancer John Kirkconnell come monthly to teach our community.

On Saturdays we run a two hour workshop followed by a social. This is a novice level workshop - perfect for those who know the basics and we will go beyond.

We wrap up the evening at about 10pm and then head over to our neighbours at BIN4 and then have a community hang out with their 50% off burgers (or grab a fun dessert!).

Sundays we host an intermediate two hour workshop geared for dancers that are really focused on working on their craft. If you live in the Nanaimo area, Sara's level 2 class on Mondays use what John works on all month. This really gets dancers to work on what they've learned and progress in their dance skills.

Looking for an amazing deal?!

We are just starting a new day program for toddlers led by Sara and we want to offer it to the community for just $30 a month! (that's a $20 savings!)

We have have Baby Ballet and Baby Hip Hop available (or stay for both!)

Toddlers 2.5yrs - 4yrs is the perfect age bracket for these programs.

Our toddler program is flexible in terms enrolment. If you find they are not ready to commit for a full year we just need one months notice.
