Come play a hole with our Director of Instruction Ben Thompson ( )!

Let's see how he tackles the 18th hole at Jumeirah Estates Earth Course.

This is a challenging par 5 with two paths to the hole, split by a creek running down the middle and past the front of the green. Longer hitters can play the fairway on the right side, while others will be better playing it safe on the left.

From there begins the risk/reward course management strategy. Go for the green with a long approach shot and risk dropping it in the creek? Or, lay up short of the creek on the left side and leave a short approach third shot?

As you'll see here, Ben launches a 4 Iron for his second shot and the results are 👌

BACK TO BACK

For the first time since 2001/2002, and only the fourth time ever, The Masters has a back to back champion. Rory McIlroy has just barely won the 2026 Masters Tournament, going -12 over the weekend. World number 1 Scottie Scheffler was a close second at 11 under.

What an incredible run for McIlroy, who took so long to win his first Masters and complete the career grand slam, to have his second Green Jacket. That we guess he will just put on himself this time.

Here at Prime Golf, we are committed to helping you optimize your performance on the course. One way we do that is through our full, in-house build shop. There we can take care of many club fixes, tweaks, and enhancements. One of the most crucial is loft and lie adjustments.

The loft and lie angles on your clubs can have a significant impact on your golf game.

Your loft angle should be calibrated depending on your swing and play style. A higher loft angle may be more forgiving and help you elevate the ball, but a lower loft angle will help add distance and reduce shot dispersion. Newer and higher handicap players may prefer a higher loft angle.

Your lie angle should be adjusted based on your height and stance to help ensure the club lies flat on the ground. Making contact when the club face is square with the ball, and flat to the ground, helps accuracy, contact quality, and reduces shot dispersion.

At Prime Golf, we have a loft and lie adjustment machine to make these changes. We can bend the hosel of forged clubs to match your preferences or reset the angles in case they've come out of alignment.

We can also offer you a game analysis or club fitting session that will provide a blueprint that we can work from to get your clubs at the optimal angles for your game.
