This April, in partnership with Sask Sport, the ignite Volunteerism campaign. We're proud to recognize one of our incredible Mat Heroes.

Jeff Nelson

Jeff is one of those people who leaves a lasting impact on every athlete he works with.

He genuinely cares about each of his athletes and wants to see every one of them succeed. He has a unique ability to recognize and bring out the “inner genius” in each person, helping them see what they’re capable of.

Jeff puts a lot of thought into how he coaches, creating training opportunities that match each athlete’s strengths while helping them grow where they need it most.

He gives countless hours to the sport, training, planning, encouraging, and investing in his athletes, not just as competitors, but as people.

What stands out most is that he truly believes in them. He sees the best in his athletes and reminds them that with hard work, they can achieve great things.

Jeff is more than a coach — he’s a mentor, a supporter, and someone you want in your corner.

I’m incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to learn under his leadership. 💚
