⚾ Granton Park Red Clay Ball Diamond Upgrade Update ⚾

We’re excited to share that we have finally received confirmation for the planned upgrades to the Granton Park Ball Diamond!

Work will begin on Monday, June 8 with excavation and preparation of the diamond as part of the improvement project.

🚧 Please note: The Ball Diamond will be closed for approximately one week while this work is completed.

We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we make these improvements to enhance the facility for players, teams, and the community. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to an improved diamond soon!

⚠️ Splash Pad Update ⚠️

During seasonal startup of the splash pad, staff identified an issue with the splash pad controller that requires repair. Unfortunately, replacement parts are currently experiencing delays and it may be more than a month before the necessary part can be received and installed.

Township staff are actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and will provide updates as more information becomes available.

We understand this is disappointing news heading into warmer weather and appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while repairs are completed. 💦☀️

Updates will be shared on the Township’s website and social media channels.

🐾 Friendly Reminder to Dog Owners 🐾

We love seeing residents and their four-legged friends enjoying our parks, trails, and green spaces! To help keep these shared spaces safe and enjoyable for everyone, dogs MUST remain on leash in all municipal parks, sports fields, trails and green spaces unless otherwise posted.

Off-leash dogs — even friendly ones — can create safety concerns for children, other pets, wildlife, and park users.

Looking for a place where your pup can run and play freely? Our dog park is a great option for safe off-leash exercise and socialization! 🐕🎾

Sports Fields Now Open!

Great news! Thanks to some much-needed dry weather from Mother Nature, all sports fields are open as of today, Friday, May 1 🙌
Our staff have been hard at work preparing the fields for the season, including:
✔️ Concrete work at Heritage and Lions Fields
✔️ Top dressing and leveling at the soccer complex

There are still some final touches on the fields that will be completed over the coming week as we get everything game-ready 🛠️
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we wrap up preparations.
