July 17 1pm Update: Closures and cancellations will continue through out the rest of the day/evening due to the dangerous air quality affecting our area. Another update will be provided tomorrow morning.

July 17, 2026 Air Quality Update – Municipal Outdoor Facilities

Due to continued poor air quality, all Township of Lucan Biddulph outdoor recreational facilities remain closed today to help protect the health and safety of our residents, visitors and staff.

This includes sports fields, splash pad and the Lucan Pool.

We will reassess conditions and provide another update at 1:00 p.m. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to monitor the situation.

July 17, 2026 Air Quality Update – Municipal Outdoor Facilities

Due to continued poor air quality, all Township of Lucan Biddulph outdoor recreational facilities remain closed today to help protect the health and safety of our residents, visitors and staff.

All outdoor facilities will remain closed/cancelled for the afternoon and evening. We will re-evaluate tomorrow morning and provide an update at that time.

Lucan Biddulph is ceasing all outdoor operations on July 15 due to air quality warning effective at 1pm.

The following public services are cancelled for the day:
• Lucan Pool
*Splash Pad
• Activities at all sports fields

Although parks and playgrounds are open spaces, we are advising the public to follow the information and advice of Environment Canada to limit your time outdoors.

Due to the recent rain, the Granton Park Ball Diamond is closed today (Monday, June 22). Please avoid using the diamond during this closure to help avoid damage. We'll provide an update on the re-opening when available.
