Nothing brings more joy and delight than to learn of another baby delivered safely in Lethbridge 🫶🏽

When Leneta first came to Baby Mama a couple of years ago it was her very first fitness class—she was learning how to perform a basic squat and hold a pair of weights.

She showed up with the courage to learn and the discipline to stick with it.

We have had the privilege and honor of watching Leneta begin her fitness journey, started on her first maternity leave, and blossom into a road runner crossing her first finish lines when she returned to work.

Her most recent finish line, her second pregnancy, was simply an honor to watch. Not only did she stay active through her second pregnancy while chasing a toddler, but she supported someone she loved who lost a baby at birth.

She gave every ounce of herself in pregnancy—a true sign of the selflessness of a mother.

We welcome Kade into the world and we can hardly wait to meet him 💜

Grateful to call you a Baby Mama and grateful to welcome another little one whom we know will be showered with love 😊🙏🏽

Thank you to Coach Shauna for co-instructing the Baby Bump program alongside me—we are truly blessed to have these women in our presence.

BABY MAMA OF THE MONTH: CATHERINE SWITZER

How did you first discover Baby Mama?

I first met Chantelle while working at the local dance store when I was pregnant with my second, Iris. She told me about Baby Mama workout classes and said I should check them out. It only took me about 8 months to commit, but when Iris was 5 months old I finally attended my first class!

Tell us who is in your family!

I have a wonderful hubby, Arthur, and we’ll celebrate 10 years of marriage this October. My oldest, Oliver, turns 5 in August, Iris is my spicy little girl who is 2, and our newest addition will be joining us sometime in July.

You have been a Baby Mama, Baby Bump and 5AM Club participant—how do the memberships differ and blend together?

They all offer something different for different stages of life.
Baby Mama came when I needed to prioritize myself so I could be a better Mom mentally and physically. It gave me a non-judgemental environment to bring my kids, meet other moms, and focus on getting stronger.

Baby Bump gave me the chance to stay active during pregnancy, meet soon-to-be mamas, and focus on what my body needs in this season.

5AM Club is one of my favourites. Once Iris got bigger, I joined after lots of encouragement from Chantelle and a friend—and I LOVE it. Getting my workout done before the kids are awake really sets the tone for my day.
What I love most is how all the programs work together. No matter the season of life, Chantelle has something to offer.

How do you stay committed to working out with 2 kids and 1 on the way?

It can be hard, but I made a commitment to myself to do better and change habits that don’t serve me. Life has reminded me how short it is, and I want to be healthy and strong for my kids and family.

Advice for moms expecting their 2nd or 3rd child?

Do one thing for yourself every day, even if it’s small. Sometimes I only got 20 minutes at Baby Mama because Iris needed me, other days I got the full hour. Something is always better than nothing.

Meet Jess — farm girl roots just outside of Lethbridge, turned high-performance strength & conditioning coach, now a Physiotherapist bringing brains and burn to every class.

And the best part? She’s one of our very own Baby Mama members 🫶🏽 — she’s lived this community, and now she’s stepping into leading it.

With 4 years in elite coaching and a deep understanding of the body, Jess is here to help you move better, feel stronger, and show up fully — whether you’re in your athlete era, your motherhood era… or both.

When she’s not in the studio, you’ll find her chasing her toddler, traveling, or dropping into a good Pilates, Lagree, HIIT, or strength class (bonus points if her little one can come too 💜).
