What makes ISR the safest survival swimming lessons out there?
Registration Evaluation Team - before a student ever steps foot on the pool deck, parents give a conplete medical history which is reviewed by a team of medical professionals (nurses and doctors) who make recommendations to the instructor of how to make lessons as safe as possible for each individual. This also allows children with diverse medical backgrounds to safely take part in ISR lessons!
Daily Questionnaire - known as BUDS (Bowel, Urine, Diet, and Sleep), parents and the instructor go over everything related to the child's health and well-being over the past 24 hours. This helps the instructor determine if it's safe to have a lesson that day, and to adjust the length and pace of the lesson if needed.
Safety Protocols - many protocols exist throughout each lesson to monitor a child's well-being and prevent injury. These include protecting the students head/chin when they're near the wall, taking frequent short breaks to rest, monitoring for fatigue, and limiting submersions to only a few seconds. These are just a few!
