DRIVER FUNDAMENTALS 💥

Get these setup points right, and you’ll be on your way to straighter & longer drives!

✅ BALL position in line with your lead heel
✅ LEAD Shoulder higher than your trail to help you hit up on the ball
✅ NEUTRAL Shaft lean at setup- Don’t push your hands forward of the ball
✅ SQUARE up your shoulders- make sure you aren’t open with the shoulders as this promotes an out-to-in club path, which leads to a SLICE!

Tee Height Guide ✔️

SAVE this video for reference. Here’s a great look at how I change the height of my tee depending on the shot I’m looking to create.

⛳️ LOWER Produces more backspin, less distance and a slight fade for myself- often leading to a safe and controlled ball flight

⛳️ STOCK is my go to tee height

⛳️ HIGHER is for when I really want to hit up on the ball with some speed and launch it into the air- this often leads to a high draw ball flight

Tee it high & let it fly ✈️

A simple and effective way to stop you getting too steep into impact 👊

Set an alignment stick up roughly one foot behind and away from the golf ball, matching the angle of your club shaft at setup. Hit some shots avoiding the stick!

You can see here I’m using Swing Coach App by Swing Intelligence app to help identify where things go wrong. The app basically offers a version of my RED/GREEN visuals, except you film your own swing and it tells you exactly where you’re getting it wrong. Link in my bio to download the free version!

It’s important to note that the golf club doesn’t work on a straight line back and through to the target. In fact it works in an arc around our body.

If you’re someone who struggles with an open face and specifically a push-slice ball flight, then this is for you.

Look at the best players in the world; as soon as you understand that as a right handed player the club should exit low and left through impact, the sooner you’ll have a ball flight that actually goes straight.

Don’t try to guide the ball down a straight line. Let the club work on an arc around your body and your ball flight will thank you
