On average, PGA Tour Players get their wrist into 54 degrees of extension at the top of the backswing. If you’re not achieving this position, you likely have a cupped lead wrist and struggle with an open club face.

To train like the pros, I use the Wrist-X by to provide immediate feedback on the wrist conditions in my backswing.

Super simple to use:
✔️ Set to 54 degrees
✔️ Swing back and set the wrist until you hear the distinct “click”
✔️ Repeat

How to release the club correctly in the bunker!

I’m using the Wrist-X here to demonstrate how to effectively release the club head through a bunker shot. I like using the Wrist-X to feel my wrists set appropriately on the backswing before releasing through the strike.

The feel is to get the release (or second “click”) working near your trail pocket on the downswing. Provided you’re turning your chest to the target and staying connected, you should find a nice clean strike in the sand.

A great way to visualize and feel a bunker shot for anyone who struggles to create an effective angle of attack while maintaining a clean, shallow divot pattern.
