As always, I want to begin with a huge thank you to all our participants, sponsors and volunteers. I may sound like a broken record, but without these three important pieces, the stability and success of our organization would falter.

We were fortunate to have an incredible group of clinicians in 2026: Ryley Wilson Performance , Kristys Quarter Horses and her assistant Nicole Gonzalez, Rachele Shaw Scobie, and our tried-and-true Lynette Crowley. Thank you for sharing your time, knowledge and encouragement with our community.

As we continue reconnecting with our community, we have an opportunity to rebuild and reimagine what we want for our future. As we head home, empty our trailers, look through our pictures and reflect on everything we accomplished this year, I think we can say without hesitation: good job, everyone!

Personally, I would also like to thank Lynette Crowley, Taylor Nadeau, Carolyn Farris and Jessica Rose Bauer for standing beside me and supporting the South Central Quarter Horse Association.

We welcomed many new faces this year, which gives me so much hope for what we can build together. We’re already dreaming about the possibilities for 2027! Our goal is to continue reaching out to our community and becoming more relevant, welcoming and inclusive.

📣 A few reminders for everyone attending The Ogopogo Open this weekend:

• Please have cash or a cheque ready for your stall deposit.
• Stalls are first come, first served. When parking, please be mindful of the space you’re taking up and allow access for others.
• If you’re arriving on Friday and would like to ride, you must pay the drop-in fee directly to the Kelowna Riding Club.
• All dogs must be on a leash at all times while on the property.
• There will be no concession on site, so please bring enough food and water for the day. There are also several convenient restaurants nearby.
• For the safety of both horses and riders, spectators are no longer permitted to stand in the warm-up pen. Please watch from outside the warm-up area and help us keep this space safe for everyone.
